just to stir the pot a bit...
the motor is a 383 sbc with sportsman heads...
I dont have the money yet to do fuel injection and twins, so my buddy let me borrow his 750 demon.
I was sick of waiting to save for the kit, so i decided to just make it myself. The picture is of the passenger side mount (only tacked together), There is a main bar tied directly into the "frame rail" going down to the crossmember portion of the subframe. Theres another support that goes to the original motor mount on the subframe. The driver side is exactly the same, with the main bar running over the steering shaft.
Everything fits pretty well, going to have to notch the firewall a bit i think for the distributor (no, not a big ugly HEI one) and do some custom headers but overall I think it'll come out pretty good.

I only saw 1 thing wrong. You have an engine with the distributor in the rear. The maker of those brand engines, means you fail badly...next time, try a Ford!
It will last longer and won't smoke on you..

they do look awkward but they are fun and pretty cheap and fast compared to most rotary builds. now if we lived in Japan with a bunch of cheap 20bs then it would be pretty pointless (by the way i prefer a rotary in a 7 but thats just personal preference and I'm sure that thing is going to move respectably fast) ohh and on another note i think a ls1-ls7 looks pretty sweet in a 7's bay but there sound and style just isn't mine.
