Just put on the S5 tails...

So after scraping together $185, I managed to buy myself a set of S5 tails for Christmas. I got them today and started putting them on around noon. After that, I went to the car wash and washed her real good, then took some pictures. Enjoy...

Look! Julio and his mad fast Jetta Kidding...

I guess you could say I kind of got carried away with the camera... oh well

Yeah, thats the stock suspension I looked into new shocks and springs a while back, but that's just too much $$ for a 20 year old car with a 240K mile original motor. And theres the fact that I'm only 16... and my job hardly pays ****. But if I ever get a decent job and/or run into some dough, the 7 will get them...

Thanks for the comments though

IF that is a turbo jetta, then it would probably spank your 240kmiles FC...

The new tails look good, and at $185 you got a killer deal. I always thought that the s5 tails looked out of place on a car with s4 trim. ANyways..

Congrats, on the new buy.

Hey, I'm just saying it looked tacky. If you had heard his fartcans you'd be saying the same But anyways, Thanks. A friend a few threads down got a set for $106. And another buddy of mine got a set of 'vert S5 tails the other day for $20 at pull-a-parts...

Luck...

Yeah, 106 and they look brand new but I'm happy for you. I know exactly how it feels. I didn't expect to get mine though, we saw a salvage yard and my mom was like "Don't you want some taillights or something? Let's stop to see if they have any." In 10 minutes, I had them, completely wasn't expecting it but it was an AWESOME surprise.

lol, thats weird. I was suprised to see them still intact on the vert Collin and I found at pull-a-parts. What yard did you go to? The closest one from here wont let me back in since I told the owner to go **** himself. $20 bucks just to look around my *** But anyways, I'm happy for you too. I bet the T2 looks even better now. Did you ever fix the windows and get those protege wheels?

see other thread for salvage yard

and window switches are still messed up, the salvage yard didn't have em. Protege wheels, I haven't heard from the guy, kinda gave up on him.

So, I got the tails one week, and the next I found a T2 hood for 100. When we (Acesanugal and I) got to the dudes house it had started to rain, and a little hail damage was more apparant to the seller. He said he just had got the car and was just swapping everything from his wrecked T2 onto it, and apologised. So my buddy asked if he'd take $65 for the hood and a belt tensioner, and he said deal. He even took the old hood off my hands. Anyways, it's a black aluminum t2 hood with a few minor bumps. Nothing that ruins it. I plan on hand washing it sometime soon and then claybar/waxing it. Then, pictures

Looking forward to the pics. I know I gave you a little crap for the TII hood earlier, but I'm actually interested to see what it'll look like on the tornado gray FC.

lol, I know, ricer/ poser . But if you saw my old hood in person you'd understand why I went ahead and bought it. And hey, it's aluminum instead of steel, so I guess I could classify the swap as a 'weight reduction upgrade' . But yeah, I'm letting the car cool now so I can change the oil, then I'm aligning the hood right, taking the front part of the scoop off to clean the pine straw out, then maybe going to wash the car.

Or I might wait until Monday to wash it... gotta inpress the ladies when school starts back...

Haha sad thing is, with nice cars you find it easier to impress men rather than ladies haha! That's good for Collin though.

Alright, I snagged a few pics when it started snowing here yesterday. They're from the phone, so dont expect anything with quality .

And this is what Collins neighbor did (which we still haven't talked to him about)
