Just bought my first rx7!
Hi everyone,
After years of being a rotary fan and lurking the forum I finally have my first rx7. I live in Vermont and finding a clean rx7 in the area (or most any older cars lol) is very rare. A couple months ago one of my friends told me a customer of his jut got one and was looking to sell. after looking at the pics I jumped on the offer and traded my 89' 5.0 mustang for the rx7. I was a little sad to see the mustang go after 8 years of ownership but it was time for something different.
So here it is! 1987 turbo II, from what I can tell the car is completely stock aside from the wheels, an old school early 90's stereo, and some minor regular maintenance items. I believe I am only the third owner of the car which originally came from Texas with pretty much all of its maintenance records.
I'm really looking forward to get started with this car. Unfortunately with winter so close (got our first little snow shower last night) I will just be gathering items over the season and dig into it in the spring.
First up will be wheels, tires, and some coilovers. You can't tell in the pics but it has old worn out and peeling tint on the windows (receipt for the tint says it was put on in 1987) that I also need to get off and have redone. Then its on to getting a little more power out of the stock turbo.
Thanks for looking,
-Mike

ohhhh yea, def don't see many rx7's up here haha. I'm right in South Burlington, have you ever seen this car before? From the paperwork records I got with the car the last long term owner looks to have been just up in Milton.

I'm still looking at some wheel options but they'll be 18's. Originally I thought 18's were too big for the car but after looking at the fitment threads the right 18's look great!
I already have some Hankook v12 tires that'll be going on it. 235/40/18 fronts and 265/35/18 rear. Probably won't be able to spin them lol.
Coilovers will be be BC Racing, BR series
BR Series | BC Racing North America
