Installed my NRG Short hub and VER 2.0 QR with my Nardi.

My Christmas present to myself.

I had to do a little trimming on the steering wheel column cover. I ended up crushing my trun signal cancel plastic wheel when tightening the nut but **** happens and it looks like it had to go anyway or it wouldn'y fit my car.

Another owner said it came with some spacers and I imagine that is what they are for but since I bought this used I didn't have them. Regardless I found out after-the-fact.

I like the feel of the wheel and how the wheel is not too far forward. Good stuff!!

Looks great man! I want that steering wheel so bad, working on my turbo swap for now though.

If you don't mind me asking how much did everything run you?

I got it all used for 200.00 shipped! Steal!! The wheel leather was pretty hashed so I cleaned and conditioned it with some LEXOL and presto; clean and soft.

Sad thing is my factory wheel is in perfect shape and I reconditioned it as well and man it is nice. Just HATE how big the son of a bitch is. The 350mm is perfect.

I just won one the other day, same wheel, but silver center. Not the same boss though, so we'll see how mine goes. Love this wheel!

looks good.. you got a great setup =D
Id like to switch out to a Nardi wheel someday

heres my setup
Momo hub with NRG slim QR
figured the NRG Slim would be a less commonly used QR than the typical ball bearing ones

Nice setup! Although I would prefer the momo wheel that hypertek posted, looks alot better and alot more comfortable.

To the op, where did you get that cf panel for the cluster? Looks good. Nice location for the fc commander!

The center CF panel was fabricated by my cousin back in the day when he owned the car. He was in to this whole "carbon fiber everything" stage. He bought the fiber and applied it to a honeycomb sheet.

that is my old red car. So if you bought it from rexnewb... then that would be my old wheel. I sold my red car to him a couple of months back.

Yea those NRG Hub adapters are ****, the same thing happened to my friend. Installed it and it broke his turn signal canceler and the shroud needed lots of trimming. I would recommend any other hub lol.

Thanks as well rotarybeat, your FC is coming along just as nice.

Well, I wouldn't say they are ****. The qaulity is great and I believe if I would have purchased the hub NEW it would have came with some accessories to prevent the part failure. It did **** me off but that is the nature of the besat when NRG only sells one universal hub for ALL mazda's. All in all it is expected from the after market world.

**** man, I didn't read your post fully and thought you were asking about the radio CF sheet.

The CLUSTER surround I ordered from Corksport back in 04.

Even new that hub doesn't come with the proper stuff to make it work. It's a poorly engineered product. The quality is high, but the dimensions and backspacing to properly use it are wrong. I have the NRG 2.0 QR and it's wicked I just matched it to a generic brand FC hub from Japan and it worked great no broken parts!

Nice wheel Murray!

Hypertek, how does the slim QR work? Honestly, I'm afraid to use those ball-bearing ones. I know I'm probably being paranoid, but it's the steering! Nice setup BTW.
