i think painting anything in black in an engine bay is bad because you cant see leaks, holes and dirty dropped stuff..

i tried sand blasting my upper intake manifold LOL , which didnt really help , but i did a ricer thing and replaced all my crusty hoses with blue silicon ones to spice things up in my engine bay .

dont worry about "ricin it up" too much. cars are all in fun anywho. as long as function is first priority, i dont think theres anything wrong with pickin it in your favorite color. and besides, you know whats tacky and what isnt lol

I think polishing is the best way to go though. with the exception of anodized metals, colors in the engine bay arnt my thing. gl!

My advice is finding a powdercoater and getting everything you wanted done professionally in ceramic.

Trust me it turns out nice, only my intake manifolds are done in ceramic for now. Need to hit the streets before the snow beats me to it. Sorry engine bay is a little dirty and things all over the place, build still underway. Hah.

waow , compared to mine , your guys engine bays look like they were hand made by god himself. i cant even get relativly close to that nice and neat with mine unless i gut my whole engine bay out ...... and even then its too much work if im going to keep it NA , so im just waiting for a few more paychecks and ill pick up a turbo motor and we will see where it goes from there then .

That is so ******* pretty it hurts to look at. Please dont EVAR post engine bay pics like that again. I feel like an online pedophile surfing around who finally found a good chatroom but with Chris Hansen sitting on my lap straddling me and whispering sweet nothings into my ears at the same time. The feeling of awe conflicting with impotence at not being able to do something so immaculate is unbearable.

easy off oven cleaner.

spray it on, let your car get nice and hot, then hose it off.

just be careful what you get that **** on, it'll melt hoses and eat paint.

make your motor nice and shiny.
