I miss my FC....

Just felt like stopping by and seeing whats going on in the RX-7 world.

My old Turbo/ GTU RX-7: Catless downpipe, 3 puck mazdaspeed or mazdatrix or w/e its called racing clutch w/ lightweight FW, Redom/ RE-Amemiya chipped ECU. Never had it close to its full potential

crappy driving in the vid... lol

My new ride. 1999 Audi A4 2.8l quattro. Great for a DD but not always quite as fun as the 7.

I honestly couldn't say exactly why... I think people scared me away with always saying they are too high maintenance to kids posting about getting one that are still in high school... I was 19 when I got it but well I only got myself into a car worse on maintenance... wtf??? I don't think I would go back and do it different though the Audi was cheaper then what I sold the FC for and its AWD, leather, heated seats, full climate control, 4 seats and a great Bose radio haha.

It seems there's a lot of RX7 and audi owners around. I have a 98.5 2.8 A4 also as my daily, but I still have my turbo. Ever since I got into RX7's, I'm totally spoiled. I'm always comparing every car I drive and it's never good!

Lol. I DD a 2005 VW GTI 1.8T and have my 2 RX-7's. The GTI is nice, but I'm over it. More expensive insurance, mostly douchebag following thats full of cliques etc. It's for sale if anyone wants to buy it.
GL with the Audi, The 2.8 is a bitch compared to a rotary.

The 2.8 is actually the reliable part. It's the rest that comes with the miles in my case.. 150k haha. As far as the douche bag following that comes with the badge. It's the same for any of the performance badged cars whether its an M3, S4, or GTI.

The fc was nice... I am not much of a German guy. I sometimes think about getting rid of my fc but then decide not to. Its a love hate relationship with me and the 7.

Hehe honestly Idk if I could go back as far as a DD car. The Audi just has like everything I've ever wanted out of a car except the hp factor... 20 less hp 20 more torque and at least 400 lbs heavier.

Seriously though its loaded: AWD, 5 speed, Bose radio, climate control, leather, heated seats, heated mirrors, heated door locks, heated windshield washers, headlight washers, ski pouch from the trunk down the center to the front console (if i ski'd that might be cool...), rubber all weather floor mats, stock projector headlights w/ aftermarket HID's, and the strongest AWD system I have ever seen (people beat the **** out of them and they still hold up unlike STi's transmissions lol)! It's also got a Torsen "limited slip" center dif like the FD's have on the rear which if you don't know how it works look it up its quite interesting. Also its just so damn smooth at 130mph. People have been in the car and thought I was doing like 70 only to look over and its somewhere between 100-110 lol. I only had the FC up to 130 once and it was just kinda scary... I do and always will love the RX-7's though.

I still get my rotary dosage when I need it. I have an 05 RX-8 w/ 14k miles I am trying to sell. It's one hell of a fun car!

and one of my dads employees is on here and has like 4 RX-7's lol. 2 FB's and 2 FC's.

Yeah...... i can imagine the withdrawl.

I have gone 4 months (f-ing coolant seal) without driving mine.

These other large amount of month numbers have to really suck.

Sell the audi and buy an fc... then ebay heated seat pads, aftermarket hids and rubber floor mats.

Isnt that the model audi where it takes a "professional" 4 hours to change a thermostat?

**** that.

Hahah um no... I can do a full timing belt and water pump in 6 hours. The thermostat would take about 30 min lol. Actually I find this Audi the easiest car to work on ... even compared to my FC.. idk just less corrosion on bolts helps.

When I say all weather floor mats they also clip down to the carpet w/ the factory mounts. No getting stuck on the gas petal........
