This may be an odd question but I am currently restoring an FC and the carpet is basically flawless in the car. I removed it and it is currently laying down flat in my shop but it is taking up room. My question is what would be the proper way to store carpet for a few months to avoid imperfections, Can you roll it up?

 

If you are referring to the main carpet that goes over the trans tunnel, just fold it in half long ways. If your shop has rafters, hang it from one. The rear carpet can be rolled up easily enough because its mostly flat.

You will never totally avoid imperfections once its removed. It probably already has creases and flats where there were none before, so keep in mind that once you reinstall it, you will have to massage it into place.
