I have friends with FCs that do awesome things with them and that keeps me from wanting to throw in the towel when I get lazy. well, lazier.

I try to forget about the car. if that doesnt work, i think about all the money I've spent. That usually leads me to realize that I'll never get that back, so there is no turning back.

damn. I think about the money I've spent and realize I have a lot more to go before she's done.

I've been so lazy and busy that i can't work on my car. My only chances are Saturdays (since my friend's shop closes on Sundays) and I haven't had a free Saturday for almost two months now.

As far as realizing I have SO much more to spend... we are all allowed to be blissfully ignorant sometimes!

I know that the motor is done, the ECU situation is taken care of, I've got a good jump on suspension with the Koni Coil-overs, Interior is pretty much done,

So I am basically down to Single turbo, finishing suspension, some drive train work, and body/paint

It only took one short sentence to say, but it will take years and thousands to finish....

i was getting ready to give up when I failed emissions twice. I finally got it through on the 3rd try. a couple weeks after I got my plates, I raced a c4 vette and won!!

Now I have something tangable to keep me going!

I live in NY and the seven lives in south Jersey. I stay motivated by taking it for a drive when I go and see my kids.
Like most of you I haven't got the time or place to work on it.
Everyone I know that has one sold theres.
I don't know anyone in NY that has one.
So many times I feel like selling it and then I take a drive. So close and yet so far.

I'm always emo as **** when I don't have my car. I play GT4, watch Japanese TV shows like Initial D, midnight wangan, do random research on the forums. If all fails I call up old high school friends and do something unproductive like play pool, watch a movie or get drunk.

FC are rare and I don't see them much on the street. For us owning a FC should feel special. =)

tell that to the FD guys.

HAHAHAHA. They feel bad for us since they're the ones that own the "real sports cars and the FC POS."

Actually that's about what I was gonna say. Helps me. Or go drive in my friend's mustang. It's slower, but fun nonetheless.

I sometimes dislike FD's just because of the shadow it casts on the FC

i dont know about where you live, but goin to car shows like hot import nights, etc, will motivate greatly... knowing that your car would be better then half the assclowns there that dont know how to build a properly tuned car..

im in socal, so sponsorships, company attention, etc is soo great out here.

I went with my dad to look at his friend's new Ferrari (well it's a '94 348 Spider). I instantly said "I want to drive my damn car, I need it to work!!!!!"

I always go to my friend's house. He's always got something new coming in for his FD. Then I go home and look at my piece and realize I have to get her AT LEAST running again!

Nothing... It's an illness, it's an addiction, it's something I can't control. My motivation is that if I don't have some interaction related to an Rx-7 or basically a car in general I feel unfulfilled and sick to my stomach... I need help, not motivation.

I just pop the garage door open and try not to wake the sleek shiny beast- she's so pretty when she's sleeping...
