JANUARY 2010
Instead of forking out $200+ for a S5 rear bar and then having to get it sprayed the same colour as my S4, I just went and had an aerosol can of paint mixed at Autobarn. They match and mix the exact colour by paint code and put in the aerosol for you.
This way, as a short term solution, I just painted the black mould on the S4 rear bumper to look more like the S5 and match in with all my S5 skirts and side moulds.
Anyway, come up OK for a short term solution...

I also managed to get the drivers side skirt and body mould on too.
This now means I have completely fitted my Series 5 body kit.
I just have to wait for the polyurethane to dry and then screw some tappers in the underside of the skirt.
Other than that, my Series 5 make over is complete!!
I know have the following Series 5 items...
EXTERIOR
- S5 Tail Lights
- S5 Side Skirts
- S5 Side Door Moulds
- S5 Front Bumper
- S5 Lower Lip
INTERIOR
- S5 Instrument Cluster
- S5 Centre Console
- S5 Centre Vents
- S5 Warning Lights (standard on mine as it is a late S4.5)
MECHANICAL
- S5 LSD

OK - Series 5 body is now done!!!
I put some self tappers along the bottom of the drivers side skirt and a couple in the front of the quarter panel skirt/mould.
It is now all secure and good to go.
I have not had the car of the stands and on wheels for months, so I decided to throw the rims on it and bring it back to earth.
Well, to say I am happy is an understatement.... I love the look!!!
Now all it needs is a good wash (it is caked in dust in the below photos) and a good cut n polish.
Getting there now!!!

Another update.
I put the car back up on stands last night and filled the Transmission with the Redline Transmission Oil - nice stuff.
And today my braided Racing Beat oil cooler lines have arrived!!
These were the final item I had been waiting on to get the car back on the road. So, after I have installed them and fill the engine back up with nice Royal Purple oil I can get it back on its wheels and down to the local roads authority for registration.
Also, my new Moonface Racing (MFR) Aluminum Gear **** arrived today. It is a nice piece of kit. Well made and heavy too.

OK,
So last night I fitted the new oil cooler lines and oil cooler too.
I then put the car all back together and filled the engine up with some nice Royal Purple oil.
I also finished mounting the carbon final panel in the centre console and fitted my new MFR gear ****.

Thanks for the comments guys.
The oil cooler lines were bought from a member on these forums, they are Racing Beat items.
The three shops that I have seen sell these are...
- Mazdatrix
- Racing Beat
- Banzai Racing

Well,
After one and half years I have finally got the car registered and on the road.
Now I can enjoy all the hard work and actually drive it!!
These photos are not very good, but at least it is out of my garage/driveway!!

I will have some good updates in the coming weeks with suspension and exhaust mods, so stay tuned.
