Half Tails and New *** - Concept

Hey everyone,

Anyone think the taillights housing of the FC are seemling too big for car? Like the entire shape of it is just suddenly odd to me today.. I brushed off my old pencil and did some sketches and thought, hey....couldn't I just cut the housing in half? I wonder what that would look like?

Boom! half Tails..

Then i said..hmm it needs a bumper to fill in that gap. Hmm great... but now it looks too modern with the stock body and looks terrible.. Lets grab a photo and mock up my design on a FC that already has purchasable parts on it.

That looks good...hope you all enjoy this!

If only there was a fabricator that would take up this project

Some etched glass illuminated by LEDs inside the housings to bring back to bar lights. Just to give an idea. I love me some bar lights.

Id really dig the look if it was the bottom half of the lights instead of the top, so then you wouldn't have to change the bumper much and still get a retro feel. Awesome art though, some pretty sick digital design skills you got there.

I also mocked up a bottom half, but the rounded area of the taillight where it meets the body remains. It was more difficult to make it look good on the bottom vs the top where the bodyline meets the lights.

Thank you for the feedback

A+ for effort! While I prefer the retro look of the FC, this looks like it could actually work. It does remind me of s13 hatch lights though.
