So i went to go buy a 1990 RX-7 off some dude who didn't know squat, he told me all he knew is it was an RX-7, so i check out the car and it looks good then i run the VIN in carfax and this is what it said:

1990 MAZDA RX7 GTU/GLX
JM1FC331*L08*****
COUPE 1.3L R FI
REAR WHEEL DRIVE

But the thing is i go to check out my car and it has a sunroof, rear winshield wiper, auto windows, fog lights, and what not, but my interior looks like the one in the attachment. So i dont know what to think. Any ideas?

i already checked that out, i guess my car just contradicts itself, im just gonna say its a GTU cuz Carfax says so.

 

That car is a GXL, and carfax is seldom correct on older cars.

Power windows, rear wiper, and leather, but no turbo motor are not found on the strippy and basic base model that the 1990 GTU was.

 

SaFer Man ,I have a 90 gxl and it has pretty much everything you said check it out at photo bucket RAFFER 2009 .

 

didn't the s5 just come coupe, turbo and convertible? or was that just the 91's?

 

^91s only came in coupe..

92 only came vert.

89 and 90 came gtu, gxl, vert, GTUs, and turbo

 

True the 92's only came in Verts, but i think the 91's all came in verts and turbos along with coupes. So i ended up contacting the dealer and they handed it to me alot ruffer then icemark did, but its a GXL, a very nice one at that, never owned an Rx-7 with a cargo lid.
