Gryffinwings FC RX7 number 2
So I recently got another FC RX7, that's 2 this year. So I've been trying to get this old 1980 Toyota Corolla that I had worked on to learn a good deal about automechanics and maybe restore it, but then after a while I lost a lot of interest in it, because it was taking a long time to get it done. So I put it up for sale. Not to many people were interested, but finally someone was interested in a trade. So I took him up on the offer. The car had a bit of a problem when I got it, it was leaking coolant, it looked to be leaking from the rear of the engine bay, so I think it's just the heater core hoses. If it's the engine, I take the one out of the 88 Vert I have and swap engines, because the coupe has way more things done to it.

So no more pics yet, haven't been home during the day when the sun is out. But would like an opinion on tire size. This is a stagger size, not sure of offset, since I didn't buy them, the car came with them.
Front: 17" x 8"
Rear: 18" x 9"
Front Tires: 205/40-17
Rear Tires: 225/40-18
I was wondering if someone could recommend a better setup?

Yeah the really do look like the AVS Model 5s, but unfortunately they are not, however I have tried to find out specifically what model RH Evolution wheels but I have not yet had any luck with that venture. If anybody finds out what they are, please let me know. BTW RH Evolution isn't in business anymore.

So I figure some things about the car. Looks like one of the previous owners was turning it into a street car. AC components are missing, heater core was bypassed, which I believe is the source of the leak, either way the hoses need replacing. Radiator looks brand new, it's the one with the metal end tanks. Also there is the cylinder thing, not the charcoal canister, but the thing next to it that has some kind of connection to the throttle is also missing.

You know what the funny thing is is that I just found out that this car is already lowered on eibach springs, I think the problem most likely resides in the tires being way too small.

It's not the tires that make it look 4x4. It's your fc begging you to get some nice coilovers for it. No, i'm not asking you to slam it. Springs can only drop you soo much though.
Great deal, i think. Props for being able to handle TWO of these at once. I'm already at my wits end having just one. lol!

Actually the wheel size I want to go with is 225/45-17 and 245/40-18.
Yeah I know my car is going to need coilovers with this setup, **** I want coilovers, just going to have to wait until I can afford them, first I need to get this car up and running first.

So as of right now, the engine is stuck, I haven't had time to start rotating it manually to get it unstuck. I will be doing that tomorrow, as long as weather is good.
On order I have the Corksport Power Series Catback exhaust in 2.5" form. Once I figure out if the engine is fine or not I will order more, if it isn't I'll be swapping the engine is from my vert into the coupe, that engine is in good running order besides needing replacement sensors.

Anyways got new tires, and the stance looks much better, but still needs to settle a bit.

So I am going against the grain and I purchased 4 Rotalla F107 tires, which I got mounted and balanced for less than 400 dollars, I am going to be the guinea pig, but someone beat me to it.
The size I'm using is 225/45-17 in front and 245/40-18 in the rear, here is a link to a thread on another forum that has a rather complete review of the F105s which are basically the same thing:
