Great find!

I'm not sure if any of you saw the pic of my old 7 which got wrecked but here's a pic of what I got now. Picked it up for about $600 with a stuck engine but I'm just swapping the GTU's engine into it. Best part is it came with the mudlfaps and many extra stuff

The top has minor tears and its a little dirty. Do any of you know what's the best way to clean the top? It has quite a bit of dirt on it

Elbow grease and a good quality top cleaner. I use Meguiar's, and have been extremely happy with it. Water first, to get most of it, and use a shammy cloth, like the autozone blue/yellow towels

It's definitely about a solid hour of work to get it all clean, but you won't be disappointed with the effect of the cleaner. Shines like brand new when applied right.

I've heard people use a bristle brush. Would you recomend it or just try and take it off with the towel?

Fantastic find!

A soft bristle brush. I believe RagTopp sells a brush on Amazon. (Horse hair or something.) I use the RagTopp cleaner and conditioner for vinyl tops. They have one for cloth tops as well.

There is a thread about cleaning convertible tops in the "Detailing" section of this site. Some warnings about not using detergent (makes the vinyl stiff) and other good tips.

Good luck. You got a super shell for your engine.
