got bored...kit and wheels. Pics!

Got bored again yesterday and got around to trading my front wheels for a set of rear wheels. So now my sizes are 18x9 +1 on all four corners. Both the wheel colors and the kit are just me playing around, I'm not at all serious about the kit but I actually like how the wheels turned out. Forgive me for copying another forum member's color (kinda). Sorry skizzle84! Anyway, here are the pics:

And for fun:

I dont know how you got them to look so clean, but you did. good job man.

hmmm.

wheels look okay, def get a different color though. and the kit looks horrible, how long did that take? looks like a 5yo put it on man.

I'd take that kit off in a heartbeat and paint the rims a gunmetal or black but you have the choice to do what you want to your 7.

Yup, the kit was put on by a 5 year old. It took him literally 10 mins to put it all on. I'm leaving it for the sole purpose that I'm gonna drive it until the kit gets destroyed and go stock body again. I picked it up for dirt cheap so that's my plan and I'm stickin' to it.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I dig it, im glad you didnt go with the rear bumper that goes with that kit. IMO it looks ***, you should go for just rear valence and prep for paint. Your **** will look golden.

Good job! i dig 1+ for joo

Thanks man! I don't plan on painting it, at least in the near future. I'm probably going to end up destroying this kit and going with a GP sports or something FRP.

Not bad. Is it just me, or is the side skirt lower than the bumper? That kind of bothers me.

hehe......funny thing is that I actually had that kit at one point years ago, I sold it before I ever mounted it. I like the kit but I opted to stay stock body for my own reasons.
Pic of my car with GP bumper still in plastic-

Don't get me wrong, I like the look of your car, and and the wheel color has already grown on me a lot - looks good with the white body. I just think the fit of the side skirts in particular could be better. Is it supposed to be mounted right over the existing moldings? Seems like it is sticking way off the body.

the gap would drive me insane-

Are you gonna paint it or rock it like it is, if your gonna smash it up anyways might as well leave it like it is right? 300whp must be fun as hell man.

NJGreenBudd - This kit is the BN Sports kit, not the GP kit.

I don't think I'm going to take the moldings off the car. I'll eventually go stock body and for now I don't think it's worth it for me to change the way my original car looks just because of this kit. I'm going to end up either destroying it or taking it off. I'm not going to put it on fully painted or remove my moldings to get it to sit more flush. I'm not at all serious about the kit and wouldn't have any problems taking it off or destroying it. I think the most I'm willing to do will be to paint the moldings on the kit to match the trim black ones on my car.

Thanks for the comments!

Cut the molded-on moldings off the side skirts that came with the kit. Then mount the top edges of the side skirt directly under the factory moldings.

Like so:

ahhhhh.....I see now it is the BN, so close to the GP though. But I hear ya knocking about the kit, more for ***** and giggles that appearance sakes. Maybe trim the skirts to match up under the existing trim like needrx7 said, that would help and look fine. Anyways man, enjoy the car.

throw the front plate on there and should be good. I know they ruin the looks, but better safe than sorry

Don't cut the kit... Pull the factory molds off. All of them on the sides. It should flush up to the body afterwords. Seems like a good place for rust to build up if you put a kit over the factory molding.
