Gilmers and stock viscous fan
Anybody running gillies and their stock fan want to put up some pics? Are you killing water pumps or having no issues?

People tend to tighten them up real hard and seem to kill alternators, just figured it may stress the wp aswell and with the fan on be a bit worse. But that's why I asked, was just a theory

The water pump hub has eight holes. 4 studs are located in it. I believe the water pump pulley slides over the studs and attaches to the hub with 4 bolts. Then the fan's hub slides over the 4 studs, against the water pump pulley, held by 4 nuts on the studs.
A gilmer water pump pulley should be a direct replacement of the oem water pump pulley. It should therefor have no effect on the fan, unless the gilmer setup over/under drives the water pump by using different size pulleys.
A different concern should be, do these aftermarket pulley kits that under drive the accessories have an ill effect on your charging/water/fan?

Pulleys and Gilmer Kits
God awful fitment and lack of support support is one of my biggest issue with the rotary works, and why I just sold their gilmer kit. For my setup (FD alt), I needed a different belt. Luckily, i managed to get the correct water pump pulley for my car from them after much harassment, so it the kit would fit a stock fc. @Brian_renyolds123 bought it as it will fit for him.

XtremeRotaries sells their gilmer kits with an option to use it with their side mount alternator kit. They ship to the USA too! Although shipping isn't cheap, they do have great products with many options.

i have the xtreme rotaries side mount alt kit and i have the rotary works gilmer kit. it is terrible. quality sucks, it wobbles like crazy and of course the belt is too short. guess i will be trying to get rid of the rotary works one, or call them and try and get a refund. and get the xtreme rotaries ones...
man this is turning into a money pit...

Good luck getting a refund. Can you still file with PayPal?
Why does it wobble? Is something off weight, or machined incorrectly? I've found that issues with thief products are inconsistent. The gilmer set I had seemed to be fine. Others have has bolt holes not even come close to lining up.

The machining was off center. I havent got it up and running yet, but am nit going to start ut with wobbly pulleys.
Yep i figure ill just have to take it in the *** on this and get the proper kit.
I shouldve known better than to order knockoff parts.
The rest of the stuff i have ordered from rotary works has been top notch!
