Front-Mount Intercooler Kits?

I've done a little research on this and have come to see few options for the 2nd Gen FC in terms of Front Mount Intercooler Kits. From what I've read this is what I have found.

1.) The Ebay Front-Mount Kit:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mazda-RX7-FC...-/130453400637

This is a Greddy imitation kit from what I have heard and seen.

2.) The Sniper Racing Front-Mount kit:

http://xtremeeuro.com/images/products/FC3S-FMIC-IG.pdf

Which is also a Greddy Imitation kit, but I have heard is fairly decent in quality. Having trouble contacting their site so I have my doubts that it is even in production anymore.

3.) The Corksport Front-Mount Intercooler Kit:

http://www.corksport.com/corksport-p...-fmic-kit.html

I've heard it's a little above the quality of the Ebay kit, but I could be wrong.

4.) The Godspeed Front-Mount Intercooler Kit:

http://www.godspeedperformance.com/1...-p-245871.html

Again around the same quality as the previous kits from what I've heard.

5.) The 3 Greddy Front-Mount Kit's:

http://www.greddy.com/products/ic-oil-rad/intercooler/

The most expensive and highest quality set-up I've seen for the Fc.

6.) Piece together your own!

Anyway I'd like some feedback from other members on these kits or if you have other recommendations please list them. Yup feel free to share!

Ps: Anyone know if the sniper front mount kit is still available? Thanks

Piece your own is the best option if you have acces to a welder, chop saw and are capable of welding and fabricating.

I have installed a Godspeed and greddy kit. The greddy kit fits flawlessly and is pretty nice. The Godspeed is so-so Thr piping is quite a bitch to work around the ps. Either way all these kits have huge intercoolers. Sometimes something most ppl overlook.

Do you happen to know if the Godspeed and Greddy Kits work with Air-Conditioning?

HKS also makes one.

I'm not too found of the knock offs myself, i kinda appreciate the collector value of having the original japanese stuff. They all work, it just comes down to what your budget is and if you care for brand name parts or not. I would not be surprised if the godspeed, ebay and that sniper fmic (never heard of sniper, they are Australian so throw that option out of the bag) are all the same knock off of the greddy kit. But I have not heard of any problems with any of them .

Yes they are all knockoffs of the greddy kits. Like I said I prefer making my own piping and using intercoolers cores for my cars and the cars we build at the shop I work for.

I pieced together my own buying parts from cxracing.com
pics are in my profile. I bought excess of everything, not knowing 100% what pipes and couplers I would need. I made rough guesses, measurements and sketches of what to buy. It came out alright I'd say. I barely had to modify anything on the car either. I was able to get some things to fit snugly.

I'd agree with these guys. I pieced my own together. A big bar and fin Godspeed intercooler, a Greddy compressin tube, some thick aluminum eBay piping (Not like some of the thin bullshit on eBay.), thick three-ply couplers, stainless steel T-bolt clamps, and an HKS SSQVIII BOV. It worked great for me... Other than the fact that it blocked a lot of the air to my oil cooler, and it seemed like too many bends. I'll go with my own V-mount eventually. I want greater response with adequate oil temps.

If you go with a FMIC set-up... Consider this "sandwich set-up" by Digi7ech:

Notice how he puts the intercooler right in front of the radiator, while keeping space below for sufficient airflow to the oil cooler.

Me and Silver comet (nick) talk on a regular. We are local to each other. I have told him I will help him build nice setup. Nick is kinda a "i just want to buy it and get it installed" type person. Well as we all know, the more modifications you make the more custom pieces arise. I personally have tryed to install the Sniper kit. After a while of trying to make it fit i just started over with the piping and made it all. I have NEVER installed a HKS kit or greddy kit BUT if you search around there are people that have had trouble with the greedy kit. I cannot speak for the greedy kit myself. Now, a knock off greedy kit i cannot speak for either but i bet you still have to do some work to the pipes. He does not have PS. My thoughts are, Buy a piping kit, buy a intercooler and we will make a very nice setup. It will A. be cheaper B. fit perfect C. gain some knowledge/experience. People hate on Ebay Intercoolers b/c there ebay and dont have a name stamp. I personally have seen many many many cars run ebay cores and make over 600hp with stedy IT's. Actually did a fmic test roughly 4yrs ago. ebay-percision-ebay.
