FRFC3S's eBay FMIC Install.

eBay seller: Ilovetacotaco 140$ Buy it Now.
28x7.5x2.5 intercooler.
2 90 degree bends
2 60 degree bends
2 45 degree bends
2 straight pipes
All couplers and clamps

Going up! My friend works at a Midas. He put me in for an oil change . Last time I checked oil changes don't require torching.

OMIGOSH! No hacking of front bumper? I can't even see it! Wait, you retained the foglights??? I relocated some horns and stuff and it fit perfectly in front of the oil cooler. We made a bracket.

OMIGOSH! BAC valve? Stock charge pipe? Battery? All I had to do was relocate the trailing coilpack to the driver's side strut tower.

Verdict: With a little bit of ingenuity, a penny saved is a penny earned. It also fits my sleeper theme.

The bad: It's 2.5" piping on the stock turbo. It's a little laggy... I should have went 2". I plan on going BNR over the winter so I guess it will all work out. Anybody have experience with intercooler piping? It feels kinda slow now...

Looks good!

nice.

was it pretty much a "universal" kit thats advertised to fit many cars? or did it actually look like it was ment to fit the fc? I take it you had to buy seperately the throttle body elbow?

Looks cool. why does it feel kind of slower then stock? Is it not making the air colder then stock?

I dont know the answer to your Qs but I'ld like to know to in case i ever decide to go down this route.

The piping is a larger diameter and covers more distance than stock, so it takes longer for the boost from the turbo to reach the motor. At least, I think that's it.

There is more area between the turbo and engine to pressurize.

Because there is nothing technical about it? It's just pictures of a installed FMIC.

Well it could be feel slower, if you are still running stock boost. Any FMIC will have a pressure drop from it...so to make up for that, more boost. This is mainly concern a stock turbo/stock boost situation.

Lol if I came acrossed as cocky it's because I'm pleased as to how it came out. I do not have AC/PS but it could have been made to fit. Yes the GReddy Elbow was seperate. Yes it was a universal kit, nowhere in the ad did it mention a car's name, it just gave intercooler and piping specifications. Front bumper support (big impact beam) is also retained. No death trap mods here! Oh and it was installed at an intentional angle to mimic the oil cooler/radiator's angle.
