Finally some new wheels (Veilsides)

Bought a set of wheels from RB Wheels last Monday they arrived today (coming from Cali to PA), 580$ shipped. They're pretty dirty, just because of their age. Gonna be mounting them with some Potenzas in a couple. Specs are 16x7 +25 16x8 +35. And here are the pix.

Veilside wheels, not something you see very often. More coming once their mounted. Might paint them in a couple months, white on white anyone?

Also I need to know what would be a good size tire for these. Running stock suspension...

very nice!

I wouldn't run more than a 215 on the front and a 235 rear...

215/50 is ok.

235/40 for the rear. If you get anyy rubbing with the 235s, drop to a 225...

Wow thats a great price for those wheels, they look nice! I LOVE old school wheels on FCs.

You can fit a 225 in the front easily if you roll the inner lips of your fenders. I run 225s with a 20mm offset rim with no rubbing issues even when running less than -0.5 camber. I say 225/50 all around so you can rotate or wider in the rear for looks.

Thanks.

I think thats what I might do, I want to get a pair of 16x8s (any wheels) and mount some crappy tires on it for when I go drifting. Then run the 16x8 up front for some more grip...

those are very hot. and for reference, i run 255s on the stock t2 wheels in the rear. no rubbing/problems what so ever. i think you could do 235s with no problem.

those are some nice wheels but i dont see why you would spend so much money on wheels and tires when you have an s4 NA. why not just save up a little more for a turbo swap? i know its your car blah blah blah, but i think there are other mods that could have been done that would have made you happier and your car faster/more reliable.

Willub: Thanks, so 235 would be the biggest?

87 t-66: Yeah I'd love to do a turbo swap, but I dont have a job and I'm still in high school so money is pretty tight. And as for tires, I'm getting them for free so I'm not complaining

well at 16x8 in the rear i'm sure you could squeeze a 255. only part that i'm unsure of on your wheels vs/ mine is that i don't know what the offset of stock ones are. i bet if you went with a lower profile like a 35/40 it could be done. don't quote me. i would ask RETed since he knows more than anyone who ever lived about fc wheel fitments....
