FD or FC...a good opportunity

hey everyone,

just recently ive been blessed with the opportunity to raise way more than enough money to buy an FD. As well as maintaining the engine and do pretty much all the mods that id want.

I just bought a GXL not too long ago and have been wanting to do the turbo swap.
The GXL is my first car and i love it to death. How ever, when i first got into rotaries, the FD is what caught my eye. And due to the difference in price, and my financial situation at the time, the FC was a great buy.

I really dont want to keep both cars, so Id end up giving my FC to my dad.

should I buy an FD or hook up my FC ?

(if I need to move this to another section or sumthing let me know)

thanks everyone
-dj

Ultimately it's gotta be your own decision man, you have to be happy with whatever you do. Both have their benefits, both have their downfalls. I voted, but like I said, it has to be your own decision.

If the FC is still in the family, it's kind of like having both.

Keep the FC man! The turbo swap isn't that hard, or that expensive!

FCs FTW!!

Um, go for the FD. Assuming you have extra money after the purchase for modifications or repairs it will be better than an FC in just about every aspect.

the FC is a wonderful car. I wouldn't trade or sell my beat up 10ae for anything. But given the opportunity, I would definitely own an FD. For me though, aside from invisible, small, reliability mods, it would be pretty much stock if I did. They are just simply breathtaking, modded or not.

If you can afford it go FD one of the best cars ever made IMO, But sometimes i think FCs can be more fun almost like a go kart lol

id say go FD.. only if you can afford it! Because if you turn out to like the fc better you can always just sell the fd. way higher re-sell value

While the FD may be faster, more advanced and better looking. I don't think when it comes to pureness of a sports car that the FD is better. FC's have something about the ride/drive (rawness) that I like over the FD.

I voted for the fd, because its my favourite rx7. Although, they are more unreliable at times. Nontheless sexy as hell.

I was in the same boat as you. The FD is what initial caught my eye. Unfortunately I was never able to find one in my area that was good. Whenever one would pop up in the adds it would be something like this. '95 Mazda RX-7, mint, twin turbo, low miles, yada yada yada, automatic..... Seriously I want to bitch slap the guy who thought putting and auto in a FD was a good thing.

Anyway, I also saw the price tag for em. I never realy had the funds to buy one and do the work needed to keep em running. So I opted to get a FC. They were much more common, not like they are common or anything.

Then a magical thing happened. I took my first FC for a drive and it was like a motoring fog was lifted. Since then, I never looked back. I even stopped looking for FDs. I actualy started looking for more FCs. HAHA.

Seriously FC for life. So a FD can get more power, who cares? Unless your talking about building a track car... even then, FCs make great track cars after building em up with all the fixin's. Its all about the ride.
