VS http://guino.home.insightbb.com/RX8.jpg FC>8 See what I did there? But still. 8's can look good. But to be comparable to a 7, no way. |
meh rx8s still dont interest me. then again i like the old blocky body styles
|
everyone has there style.. I'd want nothing besides an rx8, 3gen rx7, mkIV supra, or r33..

some bodys look awesome but if anyone is interested of trading their fd with my fc i would do it in an instant ;) |
RX8 is lame. There are only a very select few that id drive (maybe 1 or 2!). Ill stick with my FC and wouldnt turn down an FD either

I luv my Fc and i think its sickkk. BUT, its no contest i would give my car up for an FD anyday, even if it were stock.

That may be true, but there are plenty around here who could own and FD if they wanted. There's a lot of owners around here that own multiple FC's in addition to other vehicles. Sure, the FC will be a stop over vehicle for some as they aren't expensive to get into and modding is reasonable. As time goes on though, and the masses continually dispose of older cars, the true enthusiasts remain. Take the Nissan S30 as an example; they're treated like gold now. There's plenty of really nice restorations and swapped ones around. There are some cars that are timeless and the FC is one of those for me. Besides, they don't make a convertible FD, lol.

I'll join in on this. I loved the FD from first sight. Then I saw the price and wasnt able to afford it :( Then I kept looking cause I was just so interested in the rotary, I wanted something different from everyone else - and the more I looked at the FC, the more the looks grew on me. It was slow, but the more I looked, the better it got and even though I would still LOVE to have an FD, (one day I will!) the FC is keeping me content.

I could have 3 FD's if I wanted. I've stuck with FC for the past 11 years because I think it is a better overall car.

The RX-8 is easily the best handling chassis I've ever driven.
Probably aided by the lack of power/torque, you just can't upset this car's poise. The RX-7 FD is the sexiest of the three but suffers from the incredibly flimsy construction and overly complex engine peripherals. The RX-7 FC is a nice but obviously dated design, handles OK and has far better build quality than the FD. Also surpasses the FD as a practical daily driver. |
how about we just say....."MAZDA FTW"
|
what clocker said.
FCs are just raw, dont know how else to say it.... |
i would rather my fc over an fd.
but i think it takes owning a really great fc that gives you an awesome experience that you wouldn't trade for anything to really admit you'd take it over an fd |
From a personal standpoint I just feel that the FC suits me better, I do think the FD stock for stock is a better looking car then the FC. I have many chances to buy an FD, but decided to stick with FC's.

My second car was/is an fc. I love it. The interior is sporty yet comfortable. The exterior lines and curves are beautiful. They handle like a charm... even with out expensive suspension upgrades. I love getting on my curvy backroads. I feel secure speeding through the turns. I love seeing fc's modded as well.
The fd's are spectacular vehicles as well. I've never had the privilege of driving one :(. But from what I understand... they are a blast as well. They are gorgeous pieces of machinery. I would have to drive an fd before making a full on decision. But as of right now... my vote goes for the fc... |
I just don't like the rx8.... I can't get into it.
