Posts: 940 ^^ see I don't like how it's so skinny where the bar meets the mount, both the Tc Sportline and Cusco are much wider and they both lack the adjustment screw together doohicky. The TC fits exactly, there is no adjustment, it is very solid and locks the strut towers together.

I bought my strut bars bc they were adjustable. the more you can tighten them and push on the struts the more responsive your steering will be. (my 2 cents)

Is it just me, or does this discussion seem to center on the aesthetic qualities of a supposed structural member and not it's actual function?

thin line between style and function now in days. Look at my DSM i put it on for style but car feels nicer.

good point... some people probably dont even drive their car hard enough to benefit from it.

in my old 240sx, i actually removed the front strut bar *keep the rear one one*.. it allowed more grip in the front and i could rotate the rear end easier into corners when i took it to the track.

With the bar on front, the car had a little more understeer.

A little chassis flex =more absorbsion/grip

I have the TCS as well. You really dont need to drive "hard" to feel the difference in the front. I have the rear TCS as well. The hatch would creak when turning the car unto a steepish drive way ramp. It dissapeared as soon as i installed the rear Strutbar.

hypertek thats why i only got a strut bar on the rear. I want the end to be able to break lose. hehe.... Put just a strut bar on the front your more prone toundersteer. On the rear oversteer.

^^^ Props for ingenuity, but I would not feel comfortable using the intake manifold as a structural member.

What kind of shape is your 7 in buddy? I never needed a strut bar to help the rear end break loose, all of the 7's I have drove, even my stock GXL, would break the rear loose no problem and none of them had a rear strut bar.

OK, I just almost wet the bed. I was reading this thread and then started looking for a picture to post of the Racing Beat White Strut Bar that I'm sure we would all love to have and I found a website that had them for sale for $195. Jackpot. I'll take as many as they have. I called, they spent 10 minutes searching the warehouse. I'm sorry sir, we dont have any more of those.

:-(

Tanabe Strut Bar. I'll post pics of my rear bar once I finish it up. I'm wrapping it in black vynil to match the interior. We'll see how that works.

Its not being used as a structural member. The engine is using the strut as a stabilizer to reduce engine movement. One of the options for the madzatrix triangulated(and non) bar is an engine torque brace. It does not bolt to the manifold. However, there are stand alone engine torque braces that use the manifold at their mounting point. So its probably fine.

Damn, I sold my barely used one to someone local for $120.

I was running the RB bar, but I will be getting a mazdatrix triangulated bar. I have some pics of the RB bar somewhere. I'll see if I can find them.
