#1 Make sure everything works. [clean the front turn signal bulbs/sockets and put dielectric/bulb grease on the socket/bulb connector -- if you do not do this your headlight switch WILL burn out eventually!/]
#2 Upgrade to newer suspension [I like Racing Beat and Tokico blues, not too harsh for daily driving, but not sloppy like 20+yr old suspension]
#3 Exhaust [again, Racing Beat FTW]
#4 Wheels/OEM spoiler/S5 tail lights [for the S4]/NO BODY KITS!!!!!!!
#5 Decide what you want next: Paint, Turbo, maintenance, etc
Cheers, where can i source racing beat parts from ?
I like your guide of things, i'll take that into note and work from those steps haha.

^_^ Thanks. Though looking at it again, maintenance fits better with #1..

Best place to get a deal on RB parts is usually one of these: Craigslist, local or main for sale forum on here.
If you have lots of money [lol] buying direct from Racing Beat.

Fix everything that is broken and/or hacked, tune up (filters, plugs, fluids, etc), get it running 100%.

In Order of Importance:

1- Good grippy tires
2- Coilovers w/ other chassis stiffening parts
3- L.S.D.
4- Turbo Motor
5- Pretty wheels

With those, you have a badass car that you can have plenty of fun in!

Yeah, my car has a minimum number of things that must be wrong with it. Any time I fix something, another thing breaks. This is why I will not fix the power antenna, the idiot light cluster, or the wiper switch. Those are only minor inconveniences and I'm worried that fixing those will end up blowing the motor or tranny or something.

A quick preview of my list:
Wheels
Coilovers
Momo steering wheel
RE-A steering wheel (it was too tempting )
NRG quick release
CRUISE Shift ****
Poly bushings
Header
Sparco Torino

Yeah, on a college kid budget, it's been a while.

BTW, best mod IMO I ever did (while it was running) was the Megasquirt, even on a mostly stock NA, it made a huge difference.

our cars may be related. I have all the same minor issues, and a few others, that I just let be. Never have time or money to fix. someday I hope its all good. Minus the idiot cluster. **** that thing. I've got a gauge pod, fixed issue, is of more importance than telling me my washer fluid is low, temp gauge tells me if coolant is low, and my pink dip stick mod works wonders to help you remember to check it. all lube systems should be pink. I think it even works if your a chick. but I'm pretty sure most of them just keep it black..... JK

My cars pretty modded, but I'm too lazy to type it all out. but its mostly power/reliablity mods, a few suspention mods. sway bar, lowered, poly bushings.

Must have mod is solid engine/tranny mounts, you'll get more chicks to ride in your FC more than once. and they make funnier sounds.
