FC fuel milage, whats yours?
Been curious about this for a while now and id like see what kind of numbers every one else is getting weather bone stock or modded..
From what ive heard, "wankel" and "economic fuel milage" arent normally bed partners but id like to hear from more people on this one.
I have a stock powertrain 91 vert, 76k miles w/ some kind of body kit ive seen everywhere on the boards, no cats, aftermarket dual exhaust, and i opt to premix.. I averaged 15 and 23 mpg between city, country, and highway driving no matter what grade/brand of gas. im a spirited driver but i dont beat the **** out of it every time i leave a stop.
Thought my numbers were kinda low for what i was really expecting seeing as how some fb's posted higher numbers than that in some threads.. beats the hell outta my government motors pick up so im not complaining any.

I have TII coupe with 20k on a fresh rebuild (inc housings), Running a full-through, air filter and 0.9 bar of boost. Ive had just over 30 mpg out of it when going slow/out of boost. More like 10 when im rinsing it though, and it has a fuel leak!
idk why you guys are surprised on him getting 30...when a turbo is not hitting boost it gets better gas milage. the key is to get up to speed with any rotary and barely push the throttle to cruise...you'll save a lot trust me. i usual shift before 3k and never go past 4th around town and cruise at 3k on the freeways. i get about 250 on a full tank with town/freeway/mountain driving, oh and my aux ports are shut so that might help me with gas on the mountain driving part hahaha

Mines bone stock s4 na I get like 18.5 city, but I do some spirited driving. Hwy I get 23-28, the faster I go the better the mileage I've noticed... So much better than my old fb with like 11mpg :/

stock 10AE with 96K. unknown mileage on engine. i'm seeing about 17mpg on the highway and close to 14mpg in the city. using 93 octane and usually drive about 70-75mph on the highway.
I get 17mpg city, haven't done highway (mainly cause I can't keep my foot out of it). I seriously have absolutely no clue on the 30mpg thing if its really on the stock ECU with the stock drivetrain. Mainly because the TII drivetrain keeps the car at 4k @ ~80mph and theres no way in hell you're getting 30mpg at 4k constant.
My car's info:
90 GXL
6 port turbo
Stock TII ECU/sensors
Streetport, TII rotor housings
Stock turbo
5psi occasional boost, all city driving.

~16K on the rebuild

when i drove from SoCal to NorCal,
i got about ~100 miles each quarter tank,
so if i divided it correctly, i almost got 26 mpg highway going about 75-85 mph.

i get about 15 on the street...
I pulled like 25 MPG on my way back from LA when I first bought the car
(but then again I had a huge vac leak and couldn't get any boost...can't blow the motor with no extra air from the turbo right?...but after a few weeks of working on it...I was getting like 15mpg on the street...it's hard to stay out of boost sometimes)

I'd say 18mpg city, 21mpg highway. Best I've seen is 24mpg. Worst is 13mpg after a weekend of some hard autocross hoonage.
S4 N/A 13B, 12k on engine rebuilt 9 years ago, stock aside from K&N air filter, vaccum leak, and melted O2 sensor cable (don't ask...)

Last time I checked it was 17 highway. No boost 65mph, grandparents everywhere would be proud. My biggest problem is 10.0afr under heavy load. I can watch the gauge fall if I'm running it hard. Mods in sig
How is 30 even possible, unless your talking kilometers. What ECU?

gas mileage? i can almost watch the needle move when i drive my car. streetport, 550, 1600, holset hx52 at 1 bar. last time i kinda kept track it averaged 4 mpg. its not a joke, i do drive the **** out of my car when i drive but thats because i only drive it like three times a month.
I get about the same numbers as the OP with a rebuilt motor, OMP disabled so I premix, just the main cat, open element filter, and a single cat back. I get about 300-350 out of a full tank depending on how mixed my driving is and how much I get on it.
Car is a S4 GXL.

Mixed, accelerating fairly hard... 24+ on average. Hard interstate driving, 27 and pure cruising on the interstate, say, from one state to another...30 solid if I don't stop but maybe once that tank.
These numbers should be easily achieved...there must be a lot of people out there with a shitty tune lol

I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit.

There is no way in hell you are getting better than the OEM rated gas mileage AFTER removing emissions equipment that aids in fuel economy, despite the lack of accessories.
How is everyone else on a shitty tune when you are on a STOCK tune? Meaning if others match your compression numbers/TPS specs/mods etc. we should turn into gas sipping Hondas?
And what the hell is "hard interstate driving"? You are either doing the speed limit/slightly above or at WOT, meaning 8000rpm in 4th gear @140mph.

Are you still running on the stock ECU?
