running no emmisions (ie no catalytic converters, upgraded exhausts etc), and yes running rich will help
my stock exhaust would pop a little around redline revving dont know about flame.....then putta full exhaust on....once you pop the fun dont stop
1-2.5 flames fun
......plus its changes the game a little when people tailgate you

do you know what stand alone ecu hes using to retard the timing like that???
Rotarys fall horribly short of reaching a complete burn so there is a ton of raw fuel after the power stroke. Unless you invent some way to make the engine burn a higher percent of the fuel you are injecting into your engine your car will shoot flames.
hmmm so i take it there is no way around it... guess ill try and stay away from driving tooo much at night.
This thread reminded me of probably my favorite picture of an RX-7. It was a Blue one, mid drift...you could see the camera rack on the roof and it had the end of a fireball coming out of the end..
