that van looks nothing like the s4. The s4 actually is not bad but when mazda did the s5 it was better so naturally more people will want the better of the two.

If this was an attempt to hypnotize those who actually like the S4 tails, it didn't work. At least not on me. I still like 'em.

 

i wasnt saying the van looked like a s4, but the tail lights are similar. i have s4 tails as well, and i dont mind them.

my car is black though, when i had a white s4 i didnt like them much. they blend in with a black car well.

As a fellow black S4 owner, I totally agree with this comment. The S4 tails work best on a dark car. Also, the black rubber gasket around the front bumper always bothers me on light colored S4 cars for some reason. It looks like Mazda couldn't get the bumper to fit right so they jammed this goofy rubber shim in there.

lol i remember s5 on s4 tails. they had round stickers that would fight on the s4s to make em look like s5s on ebay couple years back

 

I really like my S4 tails, but the S5's just look more modern.

Maybe the S5 tails look slightly more modern than S4, but only barely. I don't understand why people buy a 20+ year old car then try to make it look "more modern" anyway. Isn't that what all the new cars are for?

I like mine and intend to keep them but i feel the s5 tails fill out the back end better and bring the car something more. I can't put my finger on it but i do like them more. They're just so smooth and crisp, especially modernized and led'd out.
