You totally should get some cash from that bullshit.

Stupid freakin' suv's make ZERO SENSE!

You want to carry people, buy a van, you want to carry gear, buy a truck you want to go off road buy a dirt bike/ATV/Jeep.

sucks man im sorry to hear about that.

Back in 04 some dude in a VAN understeered into my rear quarter panel in my old 240sx, i chased him cuz he ran.. got his plates but insurance and cops never got him . Insurance said it was a bad plate number. and liability didnt help me.. But after that event, I managed to fix the car and just made the car better from there.

Hopefully you will recover from this and use it to make your car better.

...The SUV driver that understands their vehicle is up in the mountains using it, and not on the highway

I hear ya man, that's the plan but it's really more of a cash issue right now. I was just gonna be able to barely afford to get the suspension right (too much rear camber) and get my gauges in BEFORE this crap. Now, from the way it looks (and sounds) it'll be all I can do just to fix her enough to be able to get an alignment. But I'll get under there tomorrow and see what the damage is.

Minimum: something is fubar up front (hence the 45* steering wheel thing) and something is rubbing in the right rear wheel well.

Must be one of them psychics....

Really though, had this happened on turn 17 at Sebring, I'm sure I'd feel a little different..

yeah man, sucks for sure. Hope you saw through my sarcasm. Way to take out the bigger expo though! I sold my expo for my RX7, so I now know I made the right decision when it comes to the demo derby

that really sucks. sorry to hear that.

sadly i think nader is right and they are likely going to try to deem your car a total loss.

hopefully everything works out for you.

I just put a comp. claim through on my 87 TII from hail damage. Total estimate was just under $3600 (including the $800 OEM turbo hood) - don't undervalue the car too much. Indemnification means putting it back the way it was.....so if it goes to replacement, make sure to value car's in the area (I'm not sure what prices are like in FL) but if they can't find one for less then the estimate there's no reason to write it off.

Sucks about the damage, key here is no one was hurt. Hope it all works out for you

it looks like there is damage to the pinch rail and the rear fender and then it sounds like there is broken control arm/tie rod at least on the underside. on top of that the front fender and paint......and the door......im guessing its going to be a total loss.

Good point, but I don't know many FC drivers w/ full coverage....

And I guess we shouldn't count our chickens before they're hatched....they say she may have spinal damage

The fender, and door I can do myself in a couple hours. Control arm/ tie rod will take a lil more time. Which really leaves the bodywork on the quarter panel, paint, and parts, which isn't that much. The appraiser was real cool, so we'll see. The only way i'm getting anything is if her insurance pay's up anyway

Hey dude, I feel your pain. Back on April 12, on the 2nd day of DGRR, I got hit by a GXR1000. He and his 4 friends on bikes went down, but he totalled my car, an 88 turbo swapped base. I've been without her for 5ish months now.

At least you're alright. Sorry about your car bro.

Here's how mine sits as of now.

That sucks. But you seem to be bashing fords.... you are aware that mazda and ford are essentially in bed together... Building Cars together right?

Thanks man. Some auto accident engineers are coming to look at the car this week, so I can't do anything until then, but once I get it up in the air and see what's toast, I'll prolly shoot you a PM

If I still had the gutted stock exhaust, I might have been happy w/ those numbers, granted it was 100* plus...

Damn, that sux! I don't envision Naomi being down for 5 months, but we'll see....

It looks like somebody ran down your car w/ a katana! but still the damage doesn't look bad enough to be totaled. I mean a door, a fender, a wheel and some work on the rear and she should be good right? Was there frame damage? I guess kbb (the insurance company) doesn't appreciate swaps?

Oh I'm well aware sir, its no coincidence that mustang wheels (17in anyway...) fit so well on the FC, and the FC tranny is as tough as an F series pickup...

I didn't mean to come off as bashing ford, simply bashing the most prolific rollover SUV out there, SUV's in general, and above all their sub-par drivers. Any "Ford" bashing was purely incidental.

Yea, that was me. Maybe I should have waited and gone last, then I wouldn't have been on the road w/ that idiot ?

At first I was a little upset they weren't giving out dyno print outs....but after that poor showing, its just as well lol Maybe if I would have had a bag of ice on my IC..............?
