Destruction!!!!!!

well now that winter is here and i can't drive the toy anymore, i figured i would rip the car apart and see what kind of damage i could cause........

GOALS:

if its not related to the cars performance, or street legality (for the most part ) then it goes bye bye

STAY N/A !!!!!!!!!!!

what ever else happens.... if it looks good it was on purpose.... if not, well, it was an accident

to this point the car has:

coilovers
solid engine mounts
16x8 act meshies wrapped in 225/45/16 kumho ecsta spt's
short shifter
acv/egr/omp/ ac/ps/air pump removed
upper and lower intake manifolds have been gutted completely ( no more vdi or 6 ports)
battery relocated
ss oil cooler lines
header/full exhaust (no cats, just a muffler) mandrel bent
throttle body modded and ported

i think thats it....

things i have collected for the winter destruction

turbo driveline
brakes (ss lines, rotors pads, bearings)
guages/ switches...... i like switches

ok so far i have the car in a million pieces right now, and started to fab some small stuff, but i need rods for my welder before i can get into the fun stuff

car has all the sound deadening out... all the wires that aren't important inside the car are history... got the hvac all removed, aaaand i got bored so i cut the bumper to pieces.... also relocated the door lever on the doors, and cut out any uneeded metal (speaker towers, trim brackets)

I don't get it, what is the point to ripping out all your interior?

Not much Destruction. Title is misleading. Get a torch and start cutting already!!!

Maybe you should have traded it for that clunker rebate, instead of starting this thread.

Have fun and Good luck Bobbo!

low end sure, but an rx7 isn't making power unless its revving high anyway... And that is where it makes MORE power.... by removing the 6 port sleeves, and the vdi you are increasing flow at high rpm.... so i will infact enjoy the ADDITIONAL power

My boy has that done to his NA Fc... it is UNBEARABLY slow in the low end. He totally regrets the setup. It is not worth the extra 5 high rpm HP. On the other hand you can add a turbo to it and make any power band you want

yeah it makes the car very sluggish under 5k.... but ur buddy probably drives his daily so he has no need to be screamin around at 6-8k... but myself on the other hand us the car to autox and things so the car just isn't happy unless its revved high regardless of whether i have 6 ports or not.... also i drive it on the street a lot too, but all you have to do is downshift to avoid the bogging....

as far as turbo.... eh... been there, done that, seems like 90% of fc owners are turbo or wish they were turbo.... i wanna be in the other 10% for a little while... my next turbo "7" will be an fd...

i want 10k rev's and as high compression as my little 13b can cram

The next person to own that car is going to just love you. You're not going to feel a tiny top end gain from removing the 6 port sleeves & VDI. You will sure as hell feel the car bog under 5k RPM, and you will not be hitting 10k RPM with stock internals and a stock manifold. The thread title is right. You'd be better off blowing up the car.

Gaining 5hp doesn't make your car faster when you lost all your bottom end. It's area under the line not peak hp that makes a car fast.

considering it is a very regular mod on n/a rx7's and the fact that it is already done and i have noticed POSITIVE changes in the cars performance all i can say is

your an idiot as well... i am fully aware that a stock 13b can't rev to 10k.... but if you'll look at the whole thread you'll see that i have a 4 port that i am bridgeporting and running itb's... that will rev to 10k... oh yeah and before you start talkin' more **** behind your computer, yes it all will be balanced, the rotor's will be lightened, oil system will be upgraded etc...... like i said previously, 6 ports are removed and the gain in performance that i have noticed are all positive... my car pulls fluid and hard from 4k-8k and faster than it did before the mods....

so um..... blow me?

more pic's for the haters..... if you were so willing to criticize removing 6 ports, you're really gonna love this

last night i pulled the brake master cylinder/booster, and began to convert the brakes to manual.... ripped apart the booster and made a new rod for the master cylinder......

why you ask yourselves..... simply because i was bored

destruction: to reduce (an object) to useless fragments, a useless form, or remains, as by rending, burning, or dissolving; injure beyond repair or renewal; demolish; ruin; annihilate.

by definition i don't find this thread title misleading one bit......

While you can still stop without the power assisted brakes, it won't be a good thing when you plow into someone and find out what the inside of their trunk looks like.
