Unhappy

Sorry man... That's heinous. I guess you've just got to take a "deep breath" and just accept whatever happens.

I can feel your pain all the way up here in Seattle... lol.

I agree with Mark, its going to be totaled as far as insurance is concerned. If you remember how my FC looked when I had similar trouble they totaled it. It looks like that driver side being pushed in it pushed in the fender well a bit back towards the firewall.. Thats the part I would be concerned with.

The rest looks similar to how mine looked. (yours looks a tad bit worse) but if it was driving straight you might stand a chance to pull it out and get a new front end for it...

Either way that sucks.. I never got to see it since the paint job either...

well...the other drivers insurance agent just called me. She said that they're going to accept the liability claim and pay for the damages to my car.

If they total the car out, i'm gonna try to buy it back and find a a buildable shell to transfer everything over to. i don't want to lose the microtech and the coilovers...

So, the other dudes insurance company called me and said that they're accepting my liability claim and they're covering the cost of repair to my car. Essentially that means i'm gonna get a check and a totalled car. If that's the case, i'm going to buy the car back and find a donor chassis and rebuild!

The beast shall return....bigger, better and faster.

Yea. I'm buying it back. It's gonna be parted and the drivetrain and suspension will be reused in another FC.

I dont know how they do it where you are at but I just went thru a similar situation(but with my truck not my RX)... They wanted to total it out but I rufsed to give up my title... So they gave me 80% of the value of the truck and I got to keep it... I also forced them to pay a shitload of doctors bills(since my doc is also my uncle)... make sure they have the car value totally maxed out...then make them pay for every little thing like towing and lost wages, pain, suffering agony and the destruction of a beautiful classic car.

I think going with a tube frame would be a better bet... I'm I'm no expert at these chassis things.

You gotta know how to pimp the system...first things first...dont sign ****.

my interior is thrashed. haha.

I'm workin it proper. I'm faxing the insurance company copies of reciepts for my engine build, my coilover install and paint job. and i'm going to demand compensation for being without my car for a week...they're supposed to give me a rental.

We'll see how much I get in total. If I get enough, then i'll buy a shell right away and swap everything over. If not, then it'll be a while before you guys see the beast reincarnated....

Buy something with fewer miles this time. The beast had so many miles on it, the whole body flexed.

And I got a spare T2 hood if you need one, but I guess you don't need those side marker lights and S5 trim anymore. You might have a tough time finding a body though... I haven't seen any FC coupes up for sale locally lately. Mostly just verts.

Well, I just talked to a guy with a black S4 TII here in santa rosa with a blown motor. Well, the engine runs but it overheats after about an hour. it may be something simple but he says it's got a cracked block...haha...somehow I don't think so.

It's got the ugly burgundy interior but whatever. He wants to keep it but his wife wants it sold to make room for a family car. I gave him my # if he decided to change his mind and he said he'd decide and call me tomorrow.

The chassis had 120k on it and an ACT clutch/flywheel setup. aftermarket suspension and some gauges too. it's got one ding on the rear quarter panel but its small enough for me to not give a flying ****.

Hopefully he bites and i'll just give him 1k for it.
