I actually have two different sets on.front set came of an older grand marquis,rear set came from a crown victoria.they look similar just center where mesh is a bit different.

I had a shop polish out the lips and I painted them myself with wheel paint color called anthracite I believe

about a 2" lip



the rims are not amazing condition by any means, but absolutely no curbage or hardcore pitting. It looks rough but i took a brass wheel to them to make sure the oxidation wasn't too bad. I will soda blast them here in a little bit (for a 50lb bag of the stuff cost me around 80$)



the pic above has a bunch of brown brake dust caked on it, took a powerwasher to it and it all flaked off...LOL, I then took a brass brush to the mesh to clean them up a little more before the soda blasting gets done.

 

Reminds me of my car Snaple! Except yours looks much cleaner.

 

God damn that car looks sick with those crown vic rims. I was thinking of polishing the lip and then powder coating the center section (webbed aka "lacey spoke") gold or powder coating the entire rims a dark bronze (almost brownish) color. I want that spoiler "duck bill" so bad, I bought one a few years back from a member on here, sent the money order and all and he said he sent it but I never received the spoiler...after a while I just gave up. I might build myself one out of aluminum and then tig weld it together.

 

We like the same things haha. I was also thinking about doing a dark bronze on the entire rim, or maybe a dark gray like Mac did right before he got rid of his 7. I got super lucky with the duckbill, ordered from a member for like 50 bucks and when I received it and opened it up it looks brand new, way better then I had ever hoped.

Before I got it I was thinking of doing an aluminum one as well. I gave my buddy my old duckbill that is all dented up and gross and he is going to use it as a template to make an aluminum one. There is also a guy on the forum that makes frp(?) ones both with and without the third brake light cut out.

 

Definitely gonna keep an eye out for a set in my area. Too fresh

Was having a little too much fun and tapped a curb sliding. And of course the junkyard didn't have any, so I had to drop 90 bucks to order one off ebay.

 

Since I am downsizing my wheels and am really digging these, is the best size to run a 205/50? I would like to run a square setup versus staggered. Any opinions on the performance of that tire setup?

 

What is your tires size... I don't want something too big...

^^ I'm on 205/45f 205/50r, if your stock height 205/50 all around looks good

 

ive noticed that some cars can fit these rims under the front fenders while others not so much. What do you guys to to fit them a little better? are you pulling the fenders?

I have a 5mm spacer with mine to clear the calipers and i find they stick out a bit too much for my taste

 

I have about 10m in the front that sticks out, so I got camber plates and will pull my fenders a bit in the rear they are flush

Revive from the dead lol. I finally after 2 years polished my crown vics and installed coilovers. I have an issue though. I'm max low in the rear, and I still have a bit of fender gap. Is there a way to drop it the extra bit without increasing the preload?

Btw I'm on HSD HR's, which I've been told is the same as Stance but rebranded for the EU, AUS and CDN markets. And I'm also running 205/50/16s

 

^ You can remove a collar and/or sag the spring a bit. To sag the spring you just loosen the collar underneath it until the spring drops down a bit, you can get another half an inch or so. I had mine like that for a while, I'm kinda over the whole slammed car thing though so I raised it back up.
