Thumbs up Flood lol

I went to see the car for the first time today around 1:30pm yah I guess you call it a flood it was not in the water long at all windows go up and down! all gauges work and it turns over it should run once I get the Intake manifold back together they took it off looking for water even drained the oil NO water! looks like it just filed the smog pump and air box and interior floor pans the basment was flooded but the car was parked at a 45% grade nose down so it just left everything very dirty and dusty I"ll get her going in a week or so she will be at the garage and ill crack into her this is my 15th rx7 lol all FC's but one 1982 GSL first rx7 i ever bought 82k $500 but she was stolen ran stronger then my first 89 GTU.

Thumbs up things to do!

Carpet is being removed and burned! lol it was in the water for 8 hours nose deep my plans are to make a cage for it in the shop, 2.5" Custom exhaust, and do two racing seats and 4 points keep the lap belts and fire her up and drive it daily im going to most likely run my stock GTU 5-spokes with stretched tires and lower her with some coil overs, I sold the two rotary motors i had in the shop so I may look for a turbo manifold uppers and exhaust and make a turbo kit, PP port? . IDK more to come.

How'd you get it out of the basement? Did you have to carry it up the stairs?

Seriously, sounds like a great deal if you can make it run.

Talking lol the little yellow men did it!

No it was not assembled under ground lol all tho the body looks like it has never left the Mazda Factory! With 64,235miles you would believe it was a in door car like a house cat. the way the body looks at some point it looks like some other car or maybe it hit something in the front end just enough to crack the paint on the front bumper cover thats all! top is mint with targa section. The trunk is mint also It should be at the garage around thursday or sat of next week Ill put new pictures up then. Even the pics i have seen did not to justice Ill pressure wash it then take the pics oh ya! I have seen and sold FC is worse condition for $5,500 Im very excited to have a VERT and a mint VERT at that!

Yeah, I was trying to make a joke. I guess it was neither obvious that was my intention, nor particularly funny. Sorry. Cool find on the 'Vert though.

Thumbs up Update #1

She's at F.R. Rocket's LLC. now work has started Intake manifold is back on along with EXTEN, and plenum going on tonight. Well see if she fires, has good COMP. and turns over with no trouble. Exterior washed engine bay has been cleaned up a bit here's the first after clean up started. So far we have $900 into her besides RTV and a O-ring for the Radiator Filler neck.

  1. Handbrake on
  2. Unlock latches
  3. Press button
  4. Wait for beeps
  5. Release button
  6. Lock latches
  7. Press button again
  8. Fold top
  9. Cover w/boot if applicable
  10. Enjoy

The beeps and accompanying pause of the top is to let you lock or unlock the latches while lowering or raising the top.
Aloha,
~j
