Best junkyard mission ever.

Ok so I work an oil change/fast lube and right behind us is a junk/scrap metal yard. Well anyway for the past year or so I've had my eye on 2 rx7s. One is a rare GTUs and the other is just a vert. I've been looking at these cats everyday for who knows how long, the only reason I've never went to check them out is because I work the same hours they're open. So today I couldn't take it anymore and asked my boss if I could run over there and
check it out. He says yeah make it quick. So I go and talk to the guys and end up going back there. So as usual the cars are in bad shape but still have a few good things left on em.

I ended up getting the following:
Door handle cups flawless
Mirror triangles (pair)
S4 aero mirrors
Both floor mats
Flawless center ac vents
Radio surround
Ashtray
Defroster vents
Mazda emblems/badges
Stock airbox snorkel
Jack tools and bag

All for $20

Beat that.

Best day of my life. I'm so glad I finally asked my boss to check it out.

Sweet. That is a good pull $100, let alone $20. What wrecking yard stays in business with those prices?

Well they don't usually let people bak there. What you do is tell them what you need and they get it for you. But since my job is right next to them they let me have at it.

is the differential still in the GTUs, I will pay you for it and your time. I crave the 4.3 rear gears...

also key an eye out for mudflaps.

Yeah it's still in there. Although I don't think ill ever get another chance to leave work. I know for a fact it's a GTUs cuz it's got no sunroof and I checked the door jam and its got those 16's. the car isn't salvageable by any means only pick a part.

Do you see the GTUs sticker on the side of the fender, I mean I have BBS vert wheels but I know my FC isn't a vert

Also, if its an NA with those T2 wheels its a better clue.

You said that they would pull the parts for you, they can do that and we can figure out a way for you to ship that to me.

Yeah the car was painted a primer white and all the decals were pulled off. When I opened the hood it was an na. It's got manual windows and mirrors. Ill have to see about going over there again and asking if thy could pull it out. Although they'd possibly damage something in the process. I know it's not going anywhere anytime soon. So ill keep a look out.

I appreciate it, thanks. It may or may not have the 4.33 diff then.
