Autocross calf bruise?

After my second auto-cross in two weeks i developed a good side bruise on the left side of my left leg about 3" below my knee. Bruise itself is 3" long by 2" wide right on the bone and i was limping a little after each run lol.
Another FC friend/owner had the same bruise but i don't think as bad since he had good non-factory seats.

Is this common? or am i doing it wrong?, I'm thinking about getting a lower position(can't wear my helmet in car without the top down (convertible) fixed seat with good lateral support with a 5point G-Force 3" wide harness with a main hoop roll bar with horizontal cross bar shoulder high.

I have video's of my horrible/entertaining runs if need be.

Thanks, Vic

Quickest run with a goof in gilligans island, and smacked the last slalom cone by about 4" on the right side of the rear bumper.. left an orange strip lol.

Mind you that this car is very loose... im not trying to drift for show, im just entering fast as i can because the car is slow and heavy... I was quicker than both TII's Stock and one with coilovers, and BNR Stage 3 turbo.
