the FD is in the process of a makeover. It's my boyfriends. A few months ago someone stole it and wrecked it... he got a good settlement and thats how it sits now, all it needs is a paint job and it's good to go.

He's doing a medium street port on my car. I'm real excited.

did you go buy the same color for your rotor housings that aaron did? either way, it looks nice, are you going to be a proper girl and paint the bay as well while you've got the motor out?

Alright everyone, We got the car up and running today, idles great, strong motor. Sounds great... but we ran into one little bump in the road. The clutch not disengaging fully, it's not the slave or master cylinder and we've bled all the air out of the line, it's either the clutch disk is binding or the pilot bearing is binding, so we're gonna have to drop the transmission to find out tomorrow....

So in the mean time, here is a picture of the engine bay and two videos for your enjoyment.

Video of it idling:

I've been there before. My friend was helping me put the car back together after the swap and got a bit overzealous with the slave cylinder and knocked the fork off the peg. I have no idea how he did it, but I had to drop the tranny again. Good times!

Anyways, nice work! Glad to hear its running again.

Will the trans go into gear outside of the car?

If it does, are you using an upgraded clutch with the old stock clutch line?
I have heard that over time they expand so much an upgraded clutch will not fully disengage = time for a stainless steel one.

i dont know.... i'd have to ask Robert hes the one that pulled it and looked... i'm pretty sure it did and no i'm not using an upgraded clutch, it's stock.

The car will go into gear when the car is off, but when it's on it will not go.
