aluminum interior parts

so, ive been searching, and wanted to know if anyone has done door panels or a simple dash setup or cover panels in aluminum. i was thinking about making them for my 7, since i really dont like the look of a gutted door. carbon fiber or fiberglass door panels would be cool too, i was just thinking aluminum because it would be easy enough to fab.
anyone with pics or other suggestions? and no, i dont want to use the original door panels, they are trashed anyways.

I'm curious to see some pics too. My 7's stripped too and I've been thinking about making some aluminum door panals and dash as well.

It will be drafty, noisy, vibrations everywhere, cold/hot, and would put a huge glare anytime during the day. Thought is good but get some nice door panels fix some broken plastic pieces and call it a day. A good clean full interiored Fc gets my vote all day long

the problem is this... how much weight do you plan on saving by using that aluminum panel instead of the already very light factory door panel? gut your doors, take the glass out.. put power windows door panels back on. stay classy.

Wow people, I asked about aluminum door panels. I am gutting my doors and don't want wide open gutted doors. I have 0 interest of using the stock door panels, seeing as the whole car is already gutted. It's a track/drift car and the occasional weekend touge monster
if I wanted to use the stock door panels, I wouldent have posted anything

i haven't seen any panels that are available on the consumer market. All the ones iv seen were custom built by order. Which is probably the route you will need to go yourself. If by chance that you are concerned with additional weight, and since you are going to source a custom vendor anyhow, you could go carbon fiber door panel. Most people leave the stripped panels only, most hide behind the excuse that its better that way, and wont admit that money is the biggest factor that deters them from making a purchase like that.

So whats your budget or looking to spend if your serious in getting aluminum panels? What are your other options?

my budget isnt much of a problem, i have a lot of friends in a lot of places, i will more than likely be getting my hands on the aluminum for free if not next to free. fabrication is not a problem, if i need help doing any fabbing, there is a very high quality hot rod shop down the road, and they do full on drag cars, so they know their ****.
i want to do all the work, its who i am, i was thinking of taking all my measurements and making a templet out of cardboard, transfering that over to the aluminum and doing it that way.
i just REALLY hate the look of gutted doors. i can change the dash, but im doing a full on aluminum interior in my datsun.
