Question Altenator help

Hey guys, I have a bit of dilemma and wanted to see if anyone has done this or figured this out. I checked the archive and there is nothing there that I saw. working on a buddy's car that was swapped (na/tII) and there is no plug for the alternator. I know that on the na cars the plug for the alternator is on the engine harness and on the turbo car its on the chassis harness. The plug is suppose to engage the alternator so that It can charge the batter while its running. on this particular car the alternator is not charging the battery. ive had it tested several times and its good. my question is has anyone figured out how to fix this issue while doing a swap? if so please let me know what you have done to make it work...

The alternator plug in the NA is not in the engine harness.

I don't want to not believe you, but mine definitely had the alternator plug attached to the engine harness. I had to strip it out when I wired in the standalone.
