why do the people here always hate on Initial D?!
Ohh and drag racing with cars that are made for cornering is cool
Most of them probably never saw Initial D, and because some stupid kids like it, doesn't mean you're a stupid kid too when you like it...
@ s-thetikz:
yea, okay....you are soooo mature, and wayy to mature for animes and cartoons, I guess you're even mature enough to go to school already
better initial d than something else like ugly bodykits and naaawwzzz and neon lights .

i watched initial D, loved it and enjoyed it for what it was. Do you watch anime, go to anime expo's and dress like an anime character ? considering that your subtitle is "hashiriya", and that you're from austria, i don't have much business arguing with you simply because you wouldn't understand the saturated "phenomenon" in "JDM" we recieve here in the United States.
this is the culture in japanese cars today. for anyone rocking neon lights and nawzz, all i have to comment on that is that its an outdated style. that was what happened in the 90's, and was all the rage then. JDM is what appeals to mass audiences today, and albeit, in my opinion it looks much better.
but, for this "young fellow" i'm assuming, dressing your car up like a cartoon character's car is just as tasteful as dressing up a beetle to look like herbie, and is something much, MUCH more transient and in bad taste compared to the "JDM" scene.
is it original ? obviously with the pictures shown, no.
will it keep its charm over time ? no.
you gonna dye your hair blue and repel chicks? probably.
i'm really doing the op homie a favor.

ah okay, I understand what you mean,...and you're right, JDM stuff isn't really popular in austria, and maybe 30 people in the whole country know Initial D....the people here drive around in gay tuned volkswagen golfs and opel corsas And the most japanese cars are still fast&furious/need4speed riced.
It's really really nice to see a japanese styled car then.
I guess in america everbody today want to be 'JDM' and like initial D and stuff like that, and that's why alot of you guys are sick of it.
Same with drifting.
no
I can't agree with that,...the initial d fc has no green stripes or something that only that FC has.
It's just a white S5 with lip and nice wheels, I will always like white kouki fc's with a lip and nice wheels. Doesn't matter if the one from initial D looks like that or not.
But hey SpideyFan...
WHY Watanabe wheels? if you want it like the initial d FC you should buy work equips or mazdaspeed ms-01.

It's because invoking the word "JDM" makes me want to punch people in the face. I lived in Japan from '93-'99. I grew up on drifting, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Hello Kitty, yakisoba, eggs in a vending machine and all kinds of other dainty things. Initial D is a cartoon. Plain and simple. Emulating them makes as much sense as dressing up like Batman or Superman and fighting crime. Why?
There is nothing wrong with wanting an exclusive part for your car or even powersliding around, just be original. Don't emulate a ******* cartoon character for crying out loud. Also FYI
Drifting=Powersliding
Touge=Canyon Run
Initial D is nothing new. A cartoon about people racing around in cars. A technique that was so-called pioneered in the back hills of Japan, but they were emulating a race technique used widely in motorsports.

I actually am part of Project D.
I have a new mission for you, Aniki.
Project Grow the **** Up.
This DIY requires that you only look past your childish desires to be a genius racer with a long face and alien-like eyes, as well as blue hair. It only takes a mere 5 seconds to reconsider such obscene infantilism, and inject some HKS Realism under the hood.
Once your obsession over the cheap replica of 80's dance music and broken english dissapates, proceed to add about 3 qts of water to your ECU and wake the **** up.
P.S.
Rotaries for life.

Yea I am pretty those chicks would stand next to just about any car as long as their is a camera there to take their picture. **** i bet they would even pose for a Riced out Yaris. I doubt it. This is a picture of a replica Ryosuke FC and two girls just wanted a closer look at the interior and someone just happened to take their picture.

I guess some people think if a FC happens to be White and have some resembling rims and front lip that the owner must be trying to copy Ryosuke's car. Weird.

Just to let everyone know I am not doing this to copy Ryosuke or Emulate him. I am doing this to show respect. Yes Ryosuke is not a real person but that is not to say that base off the manga/anime that people have not been effect by his character. I can certainly tell you I think of cars threw a whole new perspective now. It has nothing to do with drifting or anything. This is hard to explain. Just cause I am making a Replica of Ryosuke's FC3S doesn't mean I want to be him. I just want to share with the everyone my opinion of what a real car enthusiast should be.

In the anime the fc always looks a bit different though.
They change the front lip and the wheels a few times.
And in 4th stage it's really just a clean white fc with a lip and nice wheels,...he don't even has stickers anymore.
And the people who still say that it sucks, even with no stickers, probably like sleepy eyes, extremely stretched tires on 19inch chrome wheels , or v8 swap FC's...
and btw The live action movie was crap compared to the anime.
