T2
------
-stock drive train is good to go
- easy to make power( exhaust, porting street port? , turbo , intercooler, stand alone ecu, higher flow injectors, etc)
- Cost you alot but worth it.
- would not recommend as a daily, unless completely stock and running on stock boost and 87 octane.
N/A
-----
-anything pass 200hp in the motor will slow tear apart and break down the tranny and rear end. It can't with stand the power
- in my view its not worth investing if its not within your power goals
- good daily if maintained. okay mileage in the city and good on the freeway.
BOTTOM LINE
- you can make a show Ry car
but if you want to make a Ry show and go FC GO TURBO!

whats a Turbo V?
a turbo woth suporting mods nothing major though exhast intake. etc would be tyhe best way to make power cheap.
just make sure to have the decals actualy be removable stickers so later on if you are tired of it you can remove them and have a clean white FC.

I dont know much about the cartoon (it reminds me of dragonball in cars) but i love the video games and i know that hes got the enfini model and those are SUPER RARE. good luck with the project.

He only needs a white stock body Turbo S5 with a lip, suspension and nice wheels....and maybe re amemiya mirrors.
Then it would look like it.
If you don''t like Initial D cars, you don't like clean decent styled cars with functional mods
In 4th stage, ryosuke has no stickers anymore BTW.
But about the watanabe wheels,...I think wheels like mazdaspeed ms01 look better on FC's, and ryosuke has 5 spoke wheels like the ms01 on his car most of the time,...not watanabes.
I love watanabe wheels,...but they look better on ae86's.
And about the 280HP, you can make the power mods later, when you have more clue about fc's and maybe some people who can help you repairing things etc.
and ryosukes FC IS a TURBO of course , NA Fc's were never sold in japan....only turbos.
Oh and threadstarter, what fc are you getting? I hope not a NA S4 .
If so it'll be alot work to make it like the initial d fc.
You should buy a S5 Turbo, then it's ALOT easier.

Well Dragonball sucked ***** but Dragonball Z was ok. You can't really compare a MA anime to Initial_D they are two separate things. More People know Initial_D threw the manga anyways.

okay find the sticky or faq or post about converting a N/A to t2. don't turn an N/A into a turbo the compresion ratio is different. although it has and is done you can't run much boost. someone correct me hear if im wrong. thats due to higher compression rotors.
you'll have alot of swapping to do. don't go and do a crapy job and rush, take your time if your doing it yourself. Learn about all the moving parts in the car , the way things are made, you might find it all intresting. convert everything to a fully funtional T2.

okay, then you need s5 turbo sideskirts (I'm not sure, but I think the s5 NA skirts are different than S5 turbo skirts) , the front lip, fog lights (if you have none), re amemiya mirrors, stock spoiler (if you don't already have it), wheels, and a Turbo Hood, Then it looks like the ryosuke FC.
But a Turbo hood without a Turbo engine is gay.
so get a turbo engine too.
You need a suspension too,...ryosuke of course has coilovers,...but you said your car will be a daily driver, so lowering springs + kyb agx or something like that would be better.
But there is alot more you can do, DTSS elimanators, new bushings, strut bars, camber plates, rear camber adjuster.......etc. etc.
Your car and engine should be in best shape before you start to tune something.

+1. Thats about all I could think about when watching the live action movie was how freakin sexy that FC looked. I understand that its pretty much stock but most S5 TIIs are missing their lip which makes a huuuuge difference in the appearance. And also most don't have badass old school wheels like the Initial D car.

if you wanted the perfect replica you'd have to get a right hand drive which would be turbo'd no matter what, of course his car was turbo'd in the shows its Japanese model, they all were turbo'd... i love it and the replica will be sweet but nothing can beat the real thing... oh and make sure you get the Apex'i N1 exhaust on it

I have a new mission for you, Aniki.
Project Grow the **** Up.
This DIY requires that you only look past your childish desires to be a genius racer with a long face and alien-like eyes, as well as blue hair. It only takes a mere 5 seconds to reconsider such obscene infantilism, and inject some HKS Realism under the hood.
Once your obsession over the cheap replica of 80's dance music and broken english dissapates, proceed to add about 3 qts of water to your ECU and wake the **** up.
