The 88's maiden voyage
After spending the latter part of the summer bringing this 88 SE back from what was to be a V8 swap with my son, I had been longing to put some miles on the car. I decided that with the next couple weeks being halfway decent out I was going to drive the car. I brought the car into my work yesterday and serviced the rear differential and decided to buff the car. What a difference!!! The original Sunrise Red paint shines brightly still. If there was no fender and hood damage, this car would look amazing!! Took some pics and wanted to share with the community!
Got the car racked for service:

First buff since the the 90's at the very least:

Thank you. much better than it did but its not great by any means. I would love to look up the history on this car as far as dealer service and warranty replacements and what not. It all seems so original and not that well cared for.

The car hasn't been driven much because of the weather. I've been driving it after work some days for a few miles and its running and driving very well. Had some seepage from a heater hose that I took care of. It rolled over to 60k miles yesterday when my son and I had it out for a drive. So far its been an excellent car!!

The car has still been running and driving great. I still need to get the power steering lines and loop and make the power steering operational. That would be a huge improvement in driving feel.
