18" GTR replica wheels, thoughts?

I have an oppurtunity to snag some 18" Mustang GTR concept wheels for $200. These are new and never used. I really wanted 17x9 and 17x10.5 but the cost difference is vast..

The wheels are not my favorite style but they are crazy cheap, and my neighbor picked up a set for his cobra vert and he uses them as drag rims. They look a lot better without the caps.. I would paint them black in the centers... What do you guys think?

I think with a slight pull on the fenders and running 40 series tires I will be golden. I have the eastwood roller, so rolling shouldn't be a problem. I have put 24mm offset 18" wheels on before with 245 tires and they only rubbed the fenderliner on strong left turns.. If I go smaller tires I should be good.

I just noticed the offsets on the ones you posted hyper.. Those are for 05-10 stangs. For the proper offset (24 and 26MM) you have to search under 99-04. Also they sold out of 10.5inch wide so I am sitting 9's all around.. No biggie...

Yeah my next door neighbor has them on his cobra.. He painted the centers black and they look better. For $150 I can't go wrong, I am going to paint them black in the centers and remove the caps. I will test fit his for pictures when I get a chance..

Hell, even if you end up not liking them, I'm sure you could re-sell them for way more than that.

You must search for 99-2004 mustang wheels. If you buy the ones that Hyper posted you will need spacers. the ones I bought are 24mm offset.

Wondering if the 35mm ones wouldnt have been a better choice... waiting on a response from the wheels gurus... I know the 24mm ones will fit but probably require fender rolling.
