Yellow wire

Yellow wire

there is a yellow wire near the coils on the driver side of my 88 fc. Its left hand drive btw. Any idea what this wire connects to?

is it a bullet connector? if yes its the test port for the ignition/tach, you can get an RPM signal from that

where does it plug in at? It was never connected to anything yet my tachometer would still work.

The dash tachometer doesn't take signal from there. It's a test port for an external tach if doing timing adjustment.
