Transmission Pigtails
Transmission Pigtails
Can anyone tell me what the 2 pigtails on top of the NA transmission are for?
The one of the drivers side has 2 green wires with a single connector plug on each and 2 red wires with a single barrel connector on the end of each.
The passenger plug has 2 blue wires that go to a double connector plug.
The passenger side with blue wires is in good condition but the drivers side pigtail has been mangled, is there anywhere I can buy just the pigtails?
Also are these the same between S4 and S5 NA transmissions?

Driver's side switch is combo backup light switch/5th gear switch (https://www.atkinsrotary.com/86-92-N...0-17-640D.html). The wires with the plastic connectors are for the 5th gear switch. The two wires with bullet connectors are for the backup light switch. The 5th gear switch lets the ECU know when transmission is in 5th gear. This switch is NLA.
Passenger's side switch is the neutral switch (https://www.atkinsrotary.com/Transmi...07-17-640.html). This switch lets ECU know when transmission is in neutral.
Same switches for NA S4 and S5.
