Soooo asked this guy on tumblr and wondered if its as easy as taking the vinyl off and prepping and painting !!! Anyone have a thread or have done this ?? No weather stripping issues or leaks afterwards..dont want to rip anything off i need....

I'm going to talk my boy that just got a 91 vert into this

 

It works on treefishes vert because of the color, i dont know if i would like it with other colors...especially red think it would look bad on a red car

 

I think it would look good on any of the white verts, but I agree, that would look terrible in red or any other color. The contrast would be weird.

 

Obviously you cant paint the rest of the top so from another angle it may look funny having the white targa

 

Man, his car is the inspiration for my 91 vert... Thing is so so clean.

 

Alex's car looks good this way mainly because of the color. In theory, he could go with a tan top to match but with his two time interior, its just enough tan to not be overpowering.
