S5 intake UIM onto S4
Please, someone point me in the right direction, whomever this CArl Davis is, must have an updated website, because I cannot find a link to the work needed to be done to properly route backpressure lines to open up the aux ports and VDI respectively. Posts from 04',07',11' don't always have all the pics/links show up and I just think it's time to update something like this, neither does it seem to be on the stickyFAQ page for 2nd gens,...
Is this just frowned upon>??
Calling on RotaryRocket88's example of an S5uim and s4 TB that he had done. He had also sold that engine for $400?... awhile ago.
I understand this 'upgrade' isn't most optimal to reach more hp if that like 8-14hp according to Icemark, but i'm itching to do this on my 86S4na.
I already have the manifolds, egr delete, some understanding of the VDI and Aux ports opening at 3600rpm and capping intake air at 6800rpm

I found it!! After 3 days!
took me 3 days or so but here is the link that WORKS
89 Intake Swap Introduction
Engine: S4na
s5 UIM swap
from block: S4 LIM, s5VDi manifold and s5 upper plenum?, to S4 TB
EGR delete with blockoff plate
Drill new hole on VDi manifold to set flange onto s4LiM
Grind off a small portion off the top of the rear rotor housing for setting clearance
Extend BAC harness and plug to route to other side for s5bac, or delete but make sure to find another s5 connector to splice, otherwise round off the s4 connector to fit the bac?
Port Match or 'hone' s4 LIM to VDi manifold
next thing is to figure out the vaccuum line situation via icemark and the fsm.

I did it briefly. Torque was better with the S4 manifolds for the way I drove it. The gains are all up top.
Overall pretty straightforward, but there are some annoyances.
-The area that needs to be ground down is the old starting mount area on the top of the rear iron.
-I just took out the rear lower manifold stud when I had it on there temporarily. It sealed fine with the rest of the bolts and a little extra sealant. Drilling a hole with enough clearance for the nut gets really close to the runner.
-Fitting the S4 OMP rod around the manifolds was annoying.

Pretty straightforward indeed, only confusion I have left is routing vacuum lines and opening the ports and vdi naturally via back pressure that the ecu should be able to perform on its own. Suppose I could route the 5/6th ports naturally and open the VDi with an rpm switch and a small air pump.
