I thought I would just share that my s4t2 with a jdm s5 motor that I haven't even owned 2 weeks just blew an apex seal I'm pretty sure. I was on the highway and was alright then I heard something go through the exhaust... Then I lost all power... Start of a great day! And to top it off I just spent like 1g on mods for the car... Smh... Time to build I guess...

 

sorry to hear, it can be a hit or miss with jdm motors, I lost mine in 4 weeks before.

What all mods did u put on it? how much boost ect might be worth looking into your setup just incase part of its failure was your own doing.

 

Its just bad luck man. I bought the car like a week ago (I thought it was 2 weeks ago). S4t2 body with s5t2 jdm motor. It has a microtech lt9c with x4 box, rats nest removal, BOV. I drove the car across state so its not like it wasn't working in the first place. Put nearly 1000 miles on on it. Was running good then poof motor just went. I can't say much about it, I drive hard sometimes so it could have been my own doing but yea that's life...

Had same thing happen to me pretty much. Bought a whole parts car, swapped engine over and it blew up an apex seal a month after, a week before a drift day I was contractually obligated to attend.

Spent most of my money and time of the next week finding and putting a replacement engine. Worth it. 😂

 

i rebuilt 4 years, but now it's awesome
