Hello I can’t find any good guides on what’s what with my car. (Just got it, 1990 convertible) I have no key for the doors or trunk and had to crawl into the trunk to manually release it, is there a trunk latch, and how you open the gas door cause I did that through the trunk. The options sheet in the pinned guide says it has power locks, is it supposed to have a key fob? Are there lock and unlock buttons that I’m missing? Obviously with no door keys (the key only works on the ignition) I can’t lock them anyway but still good to know. What size radio is it, double din? Mine doesn’t have a radio and has a bunch of old wires so I’m gonna have to a whole audio system plus head speakers from scratch so any board links are appropriate. If anyone has answers or a video or a previous board that answers stuff like this I’d appreciate it. The cars a bit torn up so I’m really lost

first, you can get a copy of the FSM here: Foxed.ca. it should come in handy.

for your lock situation, start with Mazda. i was out of town once and locked my key in my Rx-8 and had to get one made. you will need proof that you own the car and i also don't know if that's something they do with older cars either, but it's worth an ask. i also don't know if replacement locksets are still available from Mazda or not. check with a local dealer or with Atkins or something. if they are not (or if it's not in your budget), maybe remove one of the locks and take it to a locksmith to see if he/she can make a key for it.

the gas tank door release should be right next to the trunk release. maybe your button/tab got broken off.

i don't know the power lock stuff, so you'll have to wait for someone else to try to help with that.
