New clutch master cylinder appears to be leaking from tube below reservoir

Hello all, just replaced my master cylinder and the new part appears to be leaking from the small tube that goes from the reservoir into the cylinder. Has anyone else had this issue? Would i be right in thinking it's probably a bad o-ring? If so, what's the best way to remove the reservoir from the cylinder so I can swap out that o-ring?

The plastic reservoir just pulls off. it can talk some force though. It could be it's just not seated all the way.

Hi. The on and off advice is the best first step. I immediately think of the worst possible cause of the problem. I once had a thumping noise coming from the rear end and of course that meant the axel was going to break and the diff would fall out going down the road. It turned out to be a lug nut that was left inside the tire. Anyway, just a story about a clutch issue I had on my '86. Nothing against Racing Beat, (I buy a ton of stuff from them), but my clutch issue and their '86 engine torque brace didn't get along (the torque brace for the '79 is ok). My clutch went to the floor after a cold night outside. The engine torque brace rod was in the way of the clutch fluid reservoir so you couldn't remove the cap. The bracket assembly that attaches to the engine was blocking the clutch bleeder valve. I should've seen a future problem but that's live and learn. I took off the brace, removed the reservoir cap, and sucked out what was left of the old clutch fluid with a turkey baster. I hooked up the clear plastic hose, the jar, and the 8mm wrench. I wedged a 2x4 between the clutch pedal and the drivers seat, then cracked open the bleeder. Bubbles and dirty fluid bled out as designed. After a couple of pumps, she was good to go. I remembered to keep the reservoir full of fluid the whole time. Then I almost stripped out the bleeder valve. Hope your job is a quick one!
