I was doing all my intake manifold gaskets on my 86 N/A 13b noticed on my lower intake manifold this metal line was covered in rust holes. Im trying to figure out what to call it and if i even need it. I have done emissions, omp delete. Not to sure where the capped vacuum line was hooked up before. Maybe i can just cap the holes where the line bokts in? If anyone can help out would be muvh appreciated. This \"metal tube" Bolts up here. Bolts up here. Bolts up to lower intake manifold with these banjo bolts.
Hi,
This line feeds back pressure from the exhaust system to the actuators that open the sleeves for the 5th & 6th port intakes.
At wide open throttle as the exhaust back pressure increases it causes the actuators to rotate the sleeves which open the ports to allow more air/fuel flow into the rotors as needed to increase power.
