Save yourself some time and compression test. Typical symptoms of a tired motor needing a rebuild.

Runs w/low power warm

Only 30k miles. When the eng is cold has all kinds of power and runs great. Intermittent while running rough with low power the eng will clear up and run great again. the eng is not tired. Dumping fuel i think. Has to be another answer

30k original? Or 30K rebuilt?

Also, there is no point in being stubborn about doing a compression test. 99% of the time it is FREE, throwing parts at it is not free, and it starts to get frustrating when you keep throwing parts at something and it doesn’t fix it

You may be right, it may NOT be a compression issue, but why not have the free peace of mind that its not the problem?

Original, This eng will run great cold. Drive a while, Turn the eng off wait 20 min. Re-start, no power low idle. Have to wait for the eng to completely cool before I can drive it. Sometimes while driving the eng will act up as well.

The other possibility is a bad water thermo sensor thats on the back of the water pump

The FSM shows how to test it
