High Oil Pressure

This just happened the last couple days. It was running fine before this and I drove it across state when I bought it. Ran solid no problems. Now out of nowhere, this happens... The oil pressure gauge as soon as I turn on the car shoots up to 110 and doesn't go down. Just drove it around the block today after I did an oil and coolant change. The car is a S4 T2 with a S5 T2 motor running a microtech LT9c. It is premix also. Anyone know why my oil pressure is so high? Also to note is after I shut off the car the oil pressure gauge does not go down right away it sits there for about 20 seconds or so then does down to 0, no idea if that is important but I thought I would mention it.

Check the wire going to the Oil Pressure Sensor.

I checked it. Looks good. How would I tell if something is wrong?

Get a REAL oil pressure gauge and that will tell you if the Pressure is OK.
The stock gauges are crap!

I'll bet the condenser on the gauge circuit is either dangling or broken off and is grounding out the gauge.

I hope that is the case... I can't imagine running such high oil pressure and now blowing something.
