Emissions testing

Anyone have success in emissions testing (Phoenix area) with 2 stroke oil in the tank (in place of metering pump)? Can't seem to get a metering pump/ecu that won't turn on the check engine light and go into limp mode. Won't pass emissions with CEL on or disabled. Can't effectively drive in limp mode.

i'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but a little oil in the tank won't make much difference in the emissions numbers

Thanks for your response. The OMP on my car is apparently bad - computer flashes code 27. Bought and installed this used pump and a used ECU (not from same seller). Original ECU was burned beyond repair as is apparently common. I’m considering eliminating the OMP and running 2 stroke oil in the tank, hence the emissions question. The buyer (my son) can probably run light on the oil mix just long enough to get it past the inspection. Have not yet looked into having the ECU reprogrammed. Don't know if the OMP can be eliminated in the ECU and the check engine light remain otherwise functional as required in an emissions test. Hope this all makes sense. Bob

The OMP issues and ECU/limp may be related. Google search "rx7club OMP delete" before you go down that road.
